Exterior mods to a Opal black E55

Hey guys struggling on what I can do to the exterior due to the color, Murdering it out wont work due to the blue, i think paint to match will look funny. and blacking out the badges maybe but still i think it will look weird.. any ideas??

Hey man, I kinda just noticed that you and I were chatting over on 6speed back and forth about Kleemann. I'm glad you're over here too

For starters, get some Euro bumper strips to get rid of the nasty yellow side markers. Get some chrome bulbs for the turn signals to loose the yellow yolk. In my opinion personally, de-badge the car. It looks clean, unless you enjoy the attention (which there is no problem with that, I know I'll throw badges back on it someday)

As far as the grille and the chrome on the car, I think it looks good It probably would look sick if you paint match the grille though, just a thought. I do agree with you that blacking everything out won't work and to be honest it's the norm. What might be sick is if you did a gunmetal color kinda like SL65 wheel color.

I don't know if you like carbon, but a front splitter and rear trunk lip in carbon might look sick, coupled with a rear Euroteck diffuser.

Just my thoughts.

Oh and go buy some sick *** wheels from B. Gorman

Hey brother! Getting a CF front spoiler and a rear diffuser. Kinda like the clean *** end so prob will hold off on the spoiler. Euro impact strips are on there way, and also AVD.10 Deep concave rims.

Black opal is my favorite color! (I'm biased lol) Flat Black grill and flat black wheels. Carbon fiber looks really good on black opal too. Not an E but just to give you an idea

You can see the color contrast a little better here even though I have the silver kinesis rims on the front

Buy a second grill to paint - thats what I did - silver in the garage right now and the painted black one is on. Tal and I also play musical front emblems going from "gunsight" to "flat badge" and back again. If I could take off the badges and put them back on without any hassle they'd be off right now

Oh ya - just buy the spoiler right now - once the diffuser and front lip go on - you need it to balance out the car. Even my wife thinks so - when I first put the spoiler on - she immediately said "it looks so much better with the spoiler" (first time she's ever commented on a exterior mod)

If I still had my old black E55, I would definiely wrap part of the hood in Matte Black up to the line which mates up to the front grill. Also paint the front grille Matte Black to match. Got alot of compliments when I had my rear window spoiler, see below LIMO tint the windows up too I loved my front head light rings that I painted in MB black, it fills in that gap nicely. I also think if you pulled all the badging off and painted it in a nice rich bright red it would look hot. Pull it all together with the ADV concave matte black wheels with a red pin stripe.
