*****Famoso Raceway - Private Track Rental Updated!!!- NOW 12/04/2010 *****
.
.For the record I'm going to be doing a track rental out there most likely in late Feb or possibly very early March. Depending on track availability it may be a weekday. As we get closer I will post some info, I plan on footing most of or all of the bill on the rental. I may open an invitation for a handfull of cars, I don't want it to be a huge event (maybe a dozen cars max), I've got some very serious testing to do and will not be able to deal with long (or even short) staging lines. I'm gonna shoot for Famoso but it may end being someplace else. I will keep you all posted, I'll probably start a thread when dates are finalized.

Let me know if you decide on Famoso, the owner and his son are very good friends of mine, so I can ease many of the "rules" restriction during the rental
Honestly, I think Famoso is one of the most decent tracks in California in terms of having a combination of good location, traction, and low elevation. The only other one that is better in each of those categories is Infineon but unfortunately, there is usually a 12 to 14-months waiting list to rent that track and is insanely expensive
Also keep in mind that in March, Famoso is pre-booked every Friday, Saturday & Sunday for their March drag tournaments. However, a weekday would likely be fine.EDIT: we're down to 20% again instead of 50% for Saturday....
I think we should have a solid forecast tomorrow, but all indications are as I predicted: The storm is not coming south as fast as expeted, and we ARE ON!!!
When you find out can you give me a call, i''ll be at Big Willow on Thursday, and Buttonwillow on friday... so I wont be able to check the forums. We'll be in Bakersfield on Friday let me know if you want to have dinner.

So as I prepare, I want to make sure I bring everything. The only question:
Is there AIR (compressor) at the track, or should I pack my air tank?
Thanks!!
