Just purchased: 2006 Black E55 - pics inside
So I finally found the right car for me after almost 8 months of searching. This car is so damn clean I don't even want to drive it. The seats look like nobody ever sat on them. Not one dent, ding, scratch anywhere. The wheels are perfect, and yes, I mean perfect. Not one scratch or curb rash on them. Car is in extra mint condition inside and out. Just did a fresh oil change and checked all fluids, car is immaculate.
It's a 2006 with 37,500 miles. Original MBZ factory warranty good til March 2011. I am hoping to extend.
It is a one owner car since new. Options include Memory seats for 3 drivers, harmon kardon sound system with 6 in dash CD system, 12 way adjustable seats, climate control for rear seats and a few other options. The only option it doesn't have that I wanted was the Pano roof, but now I don't care for that too much anymore.
Car is AMAZING. Puts a smile on my face every single time I drive her. It's a BEAUTY.
Here are some pics ... I am not a professional photographer and just snapped these on this gorgeous 80 degree day.
Does anybody know what options there are for extensions and for how long? I'd like to extend the MBZ warranty as long as possible.

BTW...do not trust the car fax when determining in service date, go to the dealer. I learned that lesson the hard way.

It should sit even. There are two level sensors up front and one in the rear. And if you have any leaks it can settle unevenly after sitting. Park the car on the street and keep it running and then take a look.
But don't worry you're under warranty. Just take it down the the dealer and have them put it on the alignment rack and they can run the SDS protocol for airmatic. Warranty will cover the diagnostics and any repair.
As WtW says, get the dealer to run your VIN and print out the VMI. that way you'll have the in-service date and everything else at your fingertips (CarFax is pretty useless sometimes.)
Car looks nice. Congrats.
Check out this picture of my car... This was a week or two after i purchased it, and I took note how the rear was always lower than the front... This is at the top end of my driveway, which is fairly flat and even... You can see the sagging in the rear... Turns out the previous owner tried to lower via star and did it incorrectly... Dealer reprogrammed and performed an alignment... All was well after wards...
As everyone has chimed in, the MB dealer is the one authority on:
1) Born in service date
2) Options for CPO warranty extensions, it is worth paying a bit more and getting a factory warranty although many members have great luck with other third party warranties such as Chrysler etc
Your is sitting abnormally low in the rear and as it is still under warranty have the dealer check this out and repair on their dime.
Also all these cars in '06 came standard with:
1) 3 position memory on the driver's seats
2) Rear climate control
3) HK entertainment with the 6+1 CD storage
4) 12 way adjustable power seats
these were not options.

So I took the car to the dealer. You guys were right. Thankfully, there was no leak or anything wrong with the airmatic, however, the calibration was messed with by the previous owner. He apparently tried dropping the rear while keep the front basically as is.
The dealer made the adjustment and alignment free of charge. Now the car is sitting right.
Thanks again for the tip. I also did a fresh oil change with Mobil 1 0w-40!
