Almost ready to Race! (lot of updates)

My custom Long tubes were a key to the whole build, not only for 1/4 mile but the elite Texas mile.. 28 seconds of WOT , under full boost makes it tough to manage the heat.. So, Headers, Trunk tank, re-tune and Injectors were on my must have list to race.. Well, all are done and tweaking in the power now..

1) Injectors are in and just need to check on the dyno next..
2) Trunk tank works well but playing with water flow data now
3)Tune, is working great and more timing has been added.
4) Made 561 RWP before trunk and and injectors, so same power and ADD ice to tank and 590RWHP on the dyno is attainable.. That is with cats, 93 octane and the way the car drives daily.. Just add Ice! With new injectors and increased tunability, I expect another 10-15 RWHP but it may also just tune out to be a very safe 561 RWHP..

My car number will be 1122 at the Texas mile, so stop by and say hello.. Always good to meet new racers and share tech info..

Great news.... I'm really excited to see your track results, your car is a real monster

Have you ever thought of going with a 100 octane tune (for track use only)? Might as well go all out if you're going through all the trouble

woah good luck buddy I'm cheering for you!

Be sure to keep us all updated about the injectors, it'll be interesting to see whether or not fuel problem is fixed under WOT with all that power your putting down.

btw I might be going ahead with the Long-Tubes I was talking to you about!

Nice Work. Should be good for high 180's in the mile. I just order my injectors today and sent the ecu back to Jerry for a retune for them. Once I get the meth kit on it should be a monster.

Amen, shoving a ton of air into your motor just to have it try to squeeze out of those stock manifolds is

Have fun at the Mile Exotic and best of luck..!!! I wish I was not travelling for work over it or I'd come watch a few people I know in it

I dyno tested the Ice on a 89 deg ambient dyno run. It was pretty easy to get starting IAT`s to 40 deg! On a 8.6 second 3rd gear dyno run, I grossed 28.8 HP over to base runs.. I also saw 3 deg max timing increase and IAT never went above 78 deg. On a cold 45 deg day with dense air, not going to see that much HP savings (I guess savings HP is the proper word)..

What a friggin monster! Can't wait to see the results on that mile!

Let me ADD this, The Headers have to be large 1.75 and 3" collector with no less than 2.75" pipes to the rear.. I then will say this is the best single MOD you can add to the car!!! 50HP plus gains, lower IAT`s and great sound on demand!

pearlpower Thinking 185 in the mile. Good luck.

Thanks Bros!!! Meth? Might be an option later on but modding a CL class 55 takes a lot of extra work, so I am behind some things...hehe

You will love the injectors! I am just hoping for 180 MPH and feel I need 600 hp and lot of ice to do it.. Ice will be key in keeping the average HP up for 27 seconds of Boost!

My tune will be fairly aggresive by the time it is dialed in on the dyno.. I am still pig rich right now.. I will run race fuel mixed in the tnak , just to slow the burn some and also plan to go one heat range colder on the plugs.. Just adding margin of error on a 27 second boost run...

I am doing this for the thrill of SPEED! I think it would be a blast to have proof of a high top speed and enjoy the ride down the track in a legal safe manner.

E55 AMG
I hit 180.1 with a shelf tune and 168mm pulley. You must make allot more power than me so you should see 190 if you can keep IATs down.

You right, take allot of ice, I emptied almost half the tank then packed full of ice, 1 run and it was warm again.

Good luck..
