Thudding in rear/trunk during hard acceleration

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what is wrong. If I put my car in first gear and floor it, a violent thudding sound comes from the rear but my ESP light doesn't blink or anything. Also, once I let off the gas there is a loud squeaking sound which sounds different than a burnout tire squeak. Make sense?

Thanks

Tools floating around in the spare tire compartment. Loud squeek is probably a slipping belt?

Any traction issues? Does the rear end "hop" at all? Do you hear a hum from the rear end at any steady speed?

That was my first take on it. You got bigger tires or lowered?

May be worth crawling underneath and peeking at the inside of your tires or fender wells. One of our guys found that his were down to the cords from rubbing. Couldn't see it until you crawled under or took the wheel off.

hey guys thanks for the fast response, sorry I have been busy so haven't had time to check, but I did get new tires and that seemed to make the problem go away. i thought if my tires had no tread left if would just spin without the thudding sound?

and nope, my car is not lowered
