For you guys with stage 2 and up, how has the reliability been for long distance driving? Any problems that you have encountered? By stage 2 and up, i am referring to everything else but upgraded camshafts and internal work. Thanks!

i have everything plus slr cams and the only problems i've ever had after 130k miles were related to a bad tune. and out of those 130k, 95k have well above stage 2.

It's totally fine. In fact, we had a few guys report actual HIGHER highway mpg. Guess due to the tunes leaning the car our a touch or something.

How cool is that. Picking up 100hp AND some mpg.

i make quick runs: Vegas -->SD or ----> LA ... I get great mpg and no issues at all --- but everyone knows freeway driving is very easy on a car ---
The biggest thing you need to be concerned about is tire condition... that is traditional stuff you should check before any long trip. Oh, dont forget to fill up on gas and check the oil too.

I've been stage 3 for over 10000 miles and a few 800 mile round-trippers with no modification related issues.

nope, i had a great service manager for the majority of my 50k mile factory warranty who honored what minor stuff i needed and my aftermarket 100k warranty covered my alternator and blown diff/rear axle even after the inspector saw the shiny longtube headers and exhaust while the car was on the lift.

ymmv...but i've found this car to be super reliable regardless of mods so it's never really been an issue.

actually, I was thinking a "Type R" trunk badge would get me .5 stage
