What would you say if you found out that a "reputable" Tuner was lying about mods?

If it's RT (hypothetically), what's the issue with just factually describing the issue(s) and letting the chips fall where they may? AFAIK, they (RT) don't sponsor MBW, so it's not like anyone will get infractions from naming an alleged misdeed of theirs...

Man this place has so much drama when it comes to "Tuners" in the AMG World.
Fact 1. There is probably less then 10 people in the world who care what V12 AMG 1/4 mile record is. Most AMG V12 cars will never see a track in their existence, fewer will be modded, and even fewer still would have some designs on the internet record for fastest 1/4.
Fact 2. If it is RT, anyone who gets them to tune their car has more money than brains anyhow. That said it's more than likely anyone getting RT to mod their car couldn't tell a camshaft from their C*ck Shaft and only went their because they are the most widely known name.
Fact 3. One tuning company calling out another is not out of some nobel sense of duty to the forum members and plainly has business motivations and should be taken with a grain of salt.

It's funny how everyone is starting to (hypothetically) point fingers/accuse or exonerate others without any evidence or information what so ever ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
In a situation like this, I think the best outcome would be to let other forum member know the truth whether good or bad - if not publicly, at least privately in order to help others avoid the same mistake.
Now let the information pour in....

I guess another question would be: how does this "board member" have intimate knowledge and "conclusive proof" that these hypothetical steel braided lines that are a conduit for an "unknown substance" exist. Unless of course this board member is employed by the hypothetical tuner or has at least seen the hypothetical car up close.

Yes they are. The tuner being referred to here does not have to be in Chicago. They could be anywhere.... hypothetically speaking of course.
On another note, I'm not sure RENNtech ever claimed that a certain product of theirs would lead to certain world records. They are usually on the very conservative side of things. They don't post huge dynos or claim to produce the highest numbers. From my experience, their claims have actually been lower than others although usually guaranteed and repeatable.
