New Mods + Track = Need for for Drag Radials
Got out to the track last night since adding new mods of Injectors, Ported TB and Surge Tanks, New plugs and New Jerry Tune. Track was terrible for traction. Might be the new power or might be the dewy track but the best 60' I could muster on my falken 20's was 2.2. My previous best on these tires was 1.76. Even after the 60ft the car was like running on a greasy track. Basically untill about the 330' the car would not hook up and I was pedaling it the whole way.
That said best time of the night was 12.3 @ 121.8 with a 2.38 '60. Lots of 12.5-12.7's in the 120's. MPH was there, just no bloddy traction!
Very happy with the new power from the mods as I increased my MPH by almost 6mph.
What do you all recommend for a DR setup? I was thinking a 17" with 285/45 Nitto NT-05's? Anybody run NT-05's before? Any other recommendations.

Nice!!! Your MPH really shot up.
As for the DRs, I was going to run 275/40 17 on a set of OZ superleggera I have. That should be plenty of tire to hook up. I also considered the NT's but there was so much positive feedback on the Hoosier and M/T s that I knocked them off the list. Not saying they will not perform well, but the other two were a sure thing.

i have a similar mod list as you and i am awaiting the arrival of CLK 320 stock wheels with drag radials. you will need 25mm spacers. the wheels weigh 13 pounds each and are cheap on ebay. ill let u know how it turns out but others have run this setup with good results. u ran 12 flat on 20's with falken which is nice. DR's should give a ton more traction.

Nice gains and I'm glad your mods proved worthy. I've been thinking about the TB mod but I have a hard time grinding up my Renntech TB...big $$$$.
If you don't mind me asking, what was the difference in DA between your 116 and 121 mph run?

Using the Drag times DA, the 12.0 run on the 26th of july was run at a DA of 2181 which would correct to about 11.88 @117.1. Last night the DA was 568 which is basically a nil correction.

Either way it seems as though you had some nice gains regardless and that's all that matters.

yikes , thats a lot of wheel spin.
I have my 17" rims mounted with the MT ET Street in a 26.5x11. They are available and would bolt on to your car with perfection. Worst you can do on this tire is 1.95.
The other option would be to do a track set of 18"s all the way around equipped with a road race tire like mpsc or 888 or the tire you mentioned.
This will drastically change your car , the feel and increase performance w/o having to mount rears. A light set all the way around will put you firmly in the mid 11's and get that trap near 125-126

Thanks for the replies guys.
Juicee, what 17 wheels are you using?
I also pulled my logs, and IAT's are still in the 190's, so I need to get that meth kit on soon!
