SC pulley bearing - taking out help *pic*

Does the clutch separate from the pulley in order to remove the bearing? I got the bearing's inner tube out in pieces but the outer sleeve is still in the pulley.

Which side does it come out? Bolt side or clutch side? TIA

Thanks! Looks like it's seized on... no access to a blow torch. Should I just bake it and try to hammer it out?

Baking will not help as both parts will heat and expand. Do you have a small three arm puller? If not, start making some phone calls. Someone nearby must have one.

Get to princess auto asap. You can get a blow torch and 3 arm pully puller for less than 30 bucks and get that bearing out.

The sleeve is out.

Now the hard part would be pressing the new bearing in the pulley without damage to the bearing. Any tips on how to make the bearing "slide" in easier? I'm thinking freeze shrink the bearing and heat expand the pulley...

This would be the easy part...

I agree with you, freeze the bearing, heat the pulley. Lightly scotchbrite the inside of the pulley if there was any rust forming. Should go in easily.

Do you have a bench vice? Heat pulley,, freeze bearing, press in with vice.
