Nobody will complain about those gold wrapped beauts.

And who really cares what it looks like. Do any of you drive with your hood open or show your cars off at the local hoochie mama car show? Function first.

Hey if you want me to monitor my IAT on my 07 e63, I can surely do that for you.

I am in phoenix though and it is quite hot outside. 108*F during the day, but gets down to low 80s at night. Let me know!

I'll have to search on how to do the IAT on the e63 though, I read so much on the e55, I should just buy one.

I think you should also wrap the top portion of the intake filter casing as well.

Since that cover get heated up as well .

Everyday, I see kids walking around, killing and stealing for gold chains. I see kids with medallions so big they can hardly stand up, all stooped over and ****, trying to carry that stuff. But, what's really awful, man, is you see a young brother with this cheap imitation electroplated gold crap around their necks. And, it breaks out in this funky green rash, with these bumps and ****; it just makes you wanna puke.

Hi, does anyone have expereince with this on the M113Ks?
How much is needed for bottom of airfilter boxes, Y-Pipe and intake pipes?

Wouldn't it make sense to put a layer into the Bay of the V8 engine below the intercooler?

The purpose is to reflect radiant heat and if properly configured, it will reflect 99%. Racers have been utilizing this technology for decades (not to mention aerospace). My IAT's at while cruising in the 80-110 mph range went down about 8 deg F.

Ag, which wrap did you use? How many feet? Did you just do the intake tubes or the bottom of the airboxes as well?

Don't remember the amount. Design Engineering is the manufacturer. Yes, I did the air boxes.

If you want to experience this material's reflective properties; after you cover your air box, hold it about 1/2" over an electric (not gas) cook-top stove and you will see that the internal surface of the airbox remains cool to the touch.
