I will NEVER use a multi rim on a street car, just too much of a PITA.

The other part of the equation that always makes me laugh is WHY does everyone here insist on 1K + rims

I use and LOVE my Enki, Fitipaldi's, BBS, and ROH's.

With the exception of the Fitti's, which I am not sure are still being made, they are all cheap. That is less than $500 per, with most of them in the $250 range.

just cause they cost alot, does NOT mean they are worth it, IMHO.

Oh well, I guess I am just too cheap to waste 5K on a set of rims
In bold, you are pointing out very valid points. It's not even a debate really, but just a fact. We have seen multi-piece rims that were asking $7-10K fly apart, bend, and to even crack. When I spoke with Atlanta rims, one of the main distributors of wheels in Atl (they don't sell to the public) the owner and manager asked: "Do you track the car?" Answer: No. So of course they said one piece rims would do the job just fine.

I have talked with several guys here in Atl with multi-piece rims, that have had the leak issue, which was a PITA waiting for the rim to be repaired and sent back. It just boils down to a preference issue.

HRE's- I have had 8 sets--- more of a form wheel that has function. HRE does have some very good functional wheels- eg the Comp series.

BBS- I have had 4 sets, more of a functional wheel that has form.

Whenever I get a new car, which happens often, HRE is first on my list followed close by BBS.

Some other very good wheels: Alloy Technik (spelling) and OZ's come to mind.

I would put the wheel lines I carry in the top tier there. No problems with leaks and if there is anything I can do please ask. I'm brand new to this forum but if you search I'm very familiar with these.
