Texas Mile Caravan from Houston TX 10/23/2010
With the Texas Mile being around the corner, I figured I would post this thread regarding driving down to Goliad, Texas together.
Usually we meet up at the Fountains on 59 South and Kirkwood around 6:30AM. This gives us enough time to stop for breakfast in Hillje and reach Goliad before the action starts.

Yes, I am going and registered! Lot of details to take care of for the mile.. Injectors, fine tunning, exhaust work, getting some race gas to track, fine tunning my pumps for trunk tank, new tires and road force balance, checking everything under the car, Lowering the susspension, All the saftey stuff needed, tape to block off wind drag areas and protect body from loose rocks, then get together a support Posse!
I also had my shifter get stuck in park, so that took away from the main goal to perform service.
Weather is cool here now and car is screaming!

Will be towards the end by the timing booth of the pits. I'm running the bike again this time (silver GSXR1000) and we'll be in the brown Pace Arrow RV. I will stop by to chew the fat and learn as much as I can since the SL65 is a new-to-me car.

Each week they put two supercars against each other and run the following:

Top speed and

All head to head...
Just wondering as I am curious to see how our car stacks up against all these tuned cars I have been watching on there especially in the MILE time trial.
A lot of these take place in Texas as well.
Again, have fun and haul ***.
