New England Dragway 10/13
So I haven't seen anyone in the Boston area posting about New England Dragway lately... if you want to run your Benz, time may be running out. Next year, NED is adopting NHRA rules and you will not be able to run Sub 12's without a cage. Since I know a few of you can run sub 12's in the Boston area, unless you want to cage up your Benzo, it may be one of the last days you can race. The track closes end of October if I remember correctly. On Wednesdays you can run two times, Private track rental and Street night. Street night starts at 5, costs 25 bucks or so, and is quite crowded. During the day, they do Private track rental (called test and tune) and they limit the rental to 30 cars. It is 100 bucks, but the track prep is better. You want to call in a reservation for the day session. None needed for evening. You do not race anyone, as they only allow 1 car per pass, but if you want to practice it is a better experience. I'm heading up on Wed to run the S65 during the day if anyone in the area wants to come by... Higginsbeach, you still on this board?
Oh, and I posted this in the e55 section for obvious reasons... you boys race!

When will you be going on Wednesday, during the day test&tune or street night which starts after 5? I was thinking of heading up next Sunday with a couple other cars, but maybe I'd join in Wednesday too..

Interesting.. I thought NEDW already had NHRA rules. Its been a long time since i raced up in Epping. We just hired on a chassis and roll cage builder who built us a NHRA spec roll bar system for the E55. Its also compliant with the Silverstate Classic for its class. Its also removeable

However if you wanted to send your car out over the winter, we certainly are capable of make a removable system for you.

Dang, looks like we won't be running together then. I can only make it there after 8pm
Skratch - 10's? Impressive. Would be nice to see you run.

sounds like I'm on the early shift and I'll miss you late shift boys... I'll try to make it to street night next week! During the day, you get a hell of a lot more runs, though...yeah, it's 100 bucks, but you can make pretty much infinite passes if you are just practicing not racing. If anyone can make it early, I'll be there from 1-3. I think you have to get your name on the list in advance, you may have to call. Z
