Metro DC Area AMG Meet
Gentlemen & Ladies,
Euromotorcars of Bethesda has agreed to host our AMG Meet & Greet event on Sunday Oct 31st. They have been looking at having and AMG event since the past summer, and this is the excuse they need.
The original intent was to gather C63 owners, but we aren't discriminating. All AMG owners are welcome and encouraged to attend. The event will take place at Euromotorcars of Bethesda, in Bethesda MD. So please pass this on to any AMG owner in the MD/DC/ Northern VA area. Please help us out with a good attendance as we are getting down to the wire, and frankly getting desperate for membership.

We haven't settled on a time as yet, due to Euromotorcars coordination effort. But we will, once we have more participation.

Just got off the phone with Brian Butler at Euromotorcars of Bethesda. He said that the upper managment (Big Wigs) are happy to have this event at their dealership, and that they will be opened from 12-5pm on Oct 31st. He said that they (dealership) would like to have the event early, starting at around 10am. So is there a concensus for 10am?

I'm aware of that, this is the date that the dealership said they can support the meet. I thought about Cars and Coffee in Great Falls, but not enough parking space there.

FWIW, I think there's a cars and coffee get together every week, or at least once a month, in the Tyson's area. Not just Mercedes though.

Can a 'soon-to-be' owner of a used CLK55 or E55 show up for questions and advice? I am in Springfield, VA.
On a side note, anyone has dealing with Fairfax Auto Gallery around Rts 50 and 29? Thanks

thegeneraltso,
Sure come on out, the more the better. No, I don't have dealings with that dealership. If you happen to know any other AMG Mercedes owners, pass the word to them as well.

Yes, I heard about Cars & Coffee in Great Falls, VA. I haven't had the pleasure of attedning, but will one day. I have a buddy who, took his Lamborghini Diablo over there last saturday. He said that place was packed with Classic, Exotics, Street Rods you name it, even a CLK63 Black Series. Which I would love to own, and is one of my dream cars that and a SLS AMG.

I live 2 miles down the street from that dealership, personally I would stay away from that dealership and rest of dealers who just buy cars on autoauctions and locally resale them.

My philosophy it to always buy a Mercedes, from a Mercedes dealership. At least then, your pretty assured that your car is certified, and inspected by a Mercedes Tech, and is in perfect operating condition. These small delaership, that sell, all makes don't know squat about Mercedes. If you do buy from them, have a pre-inspection done at a Mercedes Dealership, I think that cost as about $250.

you may have a good tech, but then again you may not...it depends. My advice...if you use a dealership develop a good relationship with your service writer, ask to use the same tech each time, make sure they know you and like you. Alternately what I do is find someone (or a shop) who specializes in MB and build a relationship with them...

I will probably attend, I always enjoy meeting new member enthusiasts.
Is the dealership planning anything for this event? Curious why you chose this one.

For those interested, I chose this dealership, because their an AMG Performance Center. Besides it a central location for all interested parties, and they have agreed to host this. The dealership, has been wanting to host an AMG event since the summer, and it never materialized, this was just the excuse they've been looking for. The dealership will provide a gathering place, and food and drink for the event, there was a mention of Hooter Girls. I don't know if that will happen or not. And the fact that we wanted to get this event moving before it really got cold, and the dealership will be open on sunday. So this was a good time for all, we looked at doing it in November but everyone scheduled wouldn't accomodate it.
