8.16 second 60-130mph Vbox Run
I finally sent in the 8.16 run I did back in July to Scott for verification. I ran this in 90 degree heat on baldazz PS2s....oh and my traction control light blinked 3.5 times. This run was pre Meth and Quaife. As far as I know this is the fastest verified 60-130 run for an e55, I am sure people have gone faster, ie Alan , but would love to see some other people get out there and see what their cars can do from a roll!

Awesome run Charlie!!!! My best Vbox run was a tad lower but unfortunately it didn't record to the SD card. Since than the best I've been able to muster up is a 8.40 at the track with a 11.02 during the summer. Hopefully this winter I'll have some better numbers.

8.16 sounds fast to me but what would be a time (outside of exotics) to make one say 6.9? 7.3
Ok I just seen a video of Drew's Supercharged M3 and it does 60-130@ 7.7 so I guess if you consider the M3 is some 500+lbs lighter 8.16 is moving pretty damn good!

IMO there are a ton of variable and allowed in a 60-130 run and only a handful of people do them on flat roads, like Charlie. A +/- 3% grade is allowed for people who don't have access to flat roads, but yet a ton of people still find the biggest grade allowed to get their fastest times.
To each their own on how they judge the performance of their cars. There are a ton of guys on here that claim to have the fastest seat of the pants cars on the boards but yet don't provide any track info.... BTW....dyno numbers don't count .

Thanks, Luis. I knew she was fast when I saw that traction control light blinking!!
You know how bad I want to hit 7s!! lol
Thank you sirrr! Pretty soon you will be shredding sub 6 second 60-130s!!
Thanks, Alan. Actually I did mine on an inlcine. dooohhh. And yeah, you are completely right our cars succckkk for 60-130 runs. Gearing and weight just kill it. I really want to see one in the 7s.... and you mean just cuz your car feels fast, it might not be????

8.16 is very fast for our cars. Unfortunately the gearing in our cars don't allow us to get faster times. Our gears seem to tall for this type of run, but seems ideal for 1/4 mile runs . Most other guys with a 6 speed could short shift before the run which avoids an added shift.

Congrats on the times! I had an opportunity to run my friend's VBOX for a night and ran a 8.4 for my 60-130 a while back. I was only able to do a few runs before I had to call it a night. I'm going to try and pick it up again sometime soon to do some actually runs.
Big kudos to a VERY quick time!

Big congrats Charlie, that is one heck of a time for an E55 I think you may have just opened a door to new possibilities for top-speed runs for E55s across the world
Seeing 7s in an E55 would be a historic event. You and Alan have the potential of pulling it off. I am not sure Quaife will help you much in this run since you're already starting at 60 mph, but I am pretty sure cooler weather will
Good luck and keep us posted
