Ever notice that all U.S. versions turn off the fog lights when you switch to high beams (including the flasher)?
Here's the fix:
1. With STAR DAS from the Main Groups Menu select "Control Units"
2. Select Body
3. Select CGW-Central Gateway
4. Select Control Unit Adaptations
5. Select Read Coding and Change If Necessary
6. Select National Version
7 Press F3 or Enter
8 In drop down box select Rest Of World
9 Press F3 or Return
10 When screen returns press F5 to re-program the CGW.
I'm sure there are some other items that are U.S. specific which have been switched off, but I have not had any time to evaluate this mod other than the fog lights.
Tha tha tha tha that's all folks!

Just noticed with this CGW re-programming that you no longer have to have the headlight switch in the "AUTO" position to have the fog lights turn on when you unlock the car. There may be other changes yet to be discovered.Originally Posted by AgSilver

This mod also turns off the amber side running lights. I may look for the programming switch" with DAS in a few days. I kinda' like 'em on.Originally Posted by AgSilver

Simply select "Canada" as the national version and the fog lights stay on in all modes and the side running lights function normally.Originally Posted by AgSilver

Does anyone know if this would work on a 2008 W164?
Oh my Denali I had to instal resistors between fuses to get all lights to stay on with High Beams active. if the above mod doesn't work is there a way to do the same to with the MB

This is excellent! I didn't want to change it to ROW only because of the sidemarker turning off, which would not pass inspection here plus it's not safe.Originally Posted by AgSilver

But having fogs on and highs are nice! I am going to go do this in an hour and report back.
Thanks!

Is there anyway to keep fogs on in the Automatic setting?
