1000hp possible???

I know anythings possible, but is it feasible to do? Will you have to get a totally different motor and transmission?? Are you better off just going with a different car?

Stand alone ECU, twin turbo set up, built engine, and a hefty MB tax.

So yeah, you better off with a different flatform.

Have you seen the traction issues on the Brabus SL w 1000tq?

I wouldnt want that power on a RWD. I had about 800bhp on my Evo and that with rwd would be a "Lol".

It looks like your way might be the way to go! Just a little concerned about how much something like that costs

It's very pricey, not to mention time away from your car for a very prolonged period of time. You need competent mechanics and a lot of patience.

I guess no one has seen the Brabus Rocket on Top Gear, that Jeremy Clarkson tried to drive. It was a SL that they tuned to some godly HP and torque, he just roasted the tires of the thing. It was uncontrollable, and the traction control couldn't handle to. He fried the brakes on it as they tried to cope with the traction control. You can have it, 500-600 hp is fine with me, not 1000hp. The Bugatti Veyron has 1001 hp, and you see how much that thing costs.

+100000

This project was attempted a few times then abandoned. It is very expensive, very complicated, and requires a lot of down time. Also, since this type of project is not done too often in the Mercedes world, most companies will use your car for research and development (aka trial & error) until they get it or you give up or you run out of money. So far, I think only soulsearcher gotten close but even his car is not done yet. V12Godspeed, I believe, is close as well.

MKB has a 1000 hp SL65 for sale if you're interested

If you don't have it by now you might want to check under your hood...it might be a 500 engine in there...

Just for sake of hypothetical talk, the 1987 1.5 liter BMW Megatron engine was said to produce 1300 HP for qualifying. It's simply a function of $$$. Just think what can be accomplished with the new bi-turbo 6.3. How long do you think the tuners will take to get 600 RHP? Look what Porsche has accomplished HP wise out of the box with it's blown street cars. Don't forget the NASCAR boys with their carbureated push-rod motors.

If you're talking about the new Mercedes TT AMG engines, they are actually 5.5L not 6.3 even though they did keep the name 63 instead of going back to 55.
