Whatever you decide, please do not buy a AMG without a warranty. As you may or may not know, these cars can be really expensive to repair without a warranty.

Why anyone makes a major purchase based on the opinion of others is beyond me. It is your money, screw what others have to say, enjoy your decisions in life, good and bad. Do you post about your girlfriend selection as well? There you go..... 21 and in an AMG, how much better does it get?? At least women won't question your ***** size in an AMG like they would a Corvette.

2005 E55 AMG
"raw power" "e63"
I take it you have never driven an e55...
Also, when I first got my e55 my friends said mercedes was for old people.
Once they cleaned the **** out of their pants after I gave them a test drive they humbly reconciled.

I was thinking the same thing. It was not until I was around 30 years old that I was able to afford this level of car and still own a home. I have no idea what some of you 19 - 24 year old people do for a living where you can afford to buy, modify, and own, late model AMG cars...but more power to you if it is money you earned without the parental boost.

I am unsure of whether i should buy an e63 AMG 2007. I am about to pull the trigger on this one. It has about 40k miles. Some of my friends are saying the cars look is too old for me, however, i feel like this is an amazing car and even if it is a sedan the raw power and feel of it is more than enough to make up for it. If not this car, what car should i be looking at?

Don't base your car buying decision on other people's comments as folks here have already stated. Take what people have to say to heart about specifics (warranty, insurance, maintenance, etc), but don't feed too much into what someone else thinks is "cool" or what will "pick-up" chicks. If that is your motivation then invest in a gym membership and buy a tanning bed:-) Watch Jersey Shore for more details.....lol.
Any woman I've known who would date someone because of a car would likewise be happy to drain their bank account and then move along to the next fool when something better comes along---and it always does. So don't buy a car on "girl factor". I have buddies who do this kind of crap who move from girl to girl who use them. If that is your motivation for buying it, don't---or any other car.
If you are buying the car because you appreciate the quality and design, and can afford it then absolutely. But buy it for your own reasons and not what other people think. I know this went way off-topic, but I think you have been given some good advice here. So it comes down to can you afford it? Can you handle the insurance? Do you love it? If you can answer yes to all of the above, then ABSOLUTELY !!!

1.) Never make your age an issue or a part of the equation when posting a question like this. It either suggests you are looking to have people stroke your ego because you are young and buying an E63, or that you are too immature to think for yourself.
2.) Make your own decision. Asking a bunch of strangers how to spend $40k is one of the most ridiculous things ever. Drive all of the cars you like, and buy the one you can afford.
I really do mean those things with the best intentions to help you. As far as the car is concerned, the E63 is probably one of the most amazing sedans on the planet. You cannot go wrong with it if you are looking for comfortable rapid transit.
