I love my E63. I would have bought an E55/E63 earlier in life if I was able to afford it. With a family now, E63 won out. The 987 Cayman is really an incredible car.

Amazing how much money new board members are able to earn in such a short window of time...
As for car, 21 + E63 =![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
If you want a nice car get something like a Range Rover, or an S550...for fun get a Cayman, will handle 10x better and more fun than an E63 and has plenty of power but not so much you'll be a headstone in the ground before 22...

I know that you asked for peoples opinions. And some are trying to talk you out if it.
So I will say this.....It's your money buy whatever the hell you want. The only opinion that really matters is your own.
If I was 21 again, an had 40K burning a hole in my pocket, I would consider a C63.
But if you do buy an AMG, be prepared for speeding tickets.

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Why anyone makes a major purchase based on the opinion of others is beyond me. It is your money, screw what others have to say, enjoy your decisions in life, good and bad. Do you post about your girlfriend selection as well?
There you go..... 21 and in an AMG, how much better does it get?? At least women won't question your ***** size in an AMG like they would a Corvette. ![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)

If your 20 and you can afford an AMG go for it. I would only suggest a c63. The car is a little smaller and if your into mods the car does well with them.
Just be carefull with your right foot, it's takes time (maturity) to know that you have the power at hand but NOT to mash the peddle at every intersection.
GOOD LUCK with your decision.

Your friends are imbeciles that are jealous of your E63. What do they drive the BUS AND TRAIN? That car looks badass, I saw a white one yesterday with HRE's. Let me tell you all the girls heads were turning.
Also most people who drive AMG's don't buy it with CASH they finance or lease it. Most people just like be perceived they are wealthy when they are in debt. This whole 16-22 thing is ridiculous. That age group is composed of like 95% Loans for car.
So yea, you cant go wrong with the E63 and get some new friends, they will only hinder you if they have comments like that.

Hideki24, there's some great advice in this thread. Vic55 nailed it.
Let me add my 2-cents...
Affording the car is step 1 in about 20 steps. Then it's outrageous insurance premiums. Heavy fuel bills. Lots of rear tires = $$$$.
Buying the car will be the cheapest part of ownership. It's the proper maintenance and care that will add up rather quickly. If you're sweating $40-$50k and that's your price range, remember you're stepping into a $100k vehicle...which has replacement parts and maintenance costs appropriate for a $100,000 vehicle.
Good luck, make the choice that makes you most happy.

E55 AMG
Man I was on that forum a lot when that happened. Damn shame. On the other hand some 21 year olde drive with more restraint than these road raging oldies around here.....
But my advice is get a 55 with a warranty, take the difference and update the exterior to 63 specs and throw a pulley party under the hood, up the cooling factor and you come out a winner. It's the same body.

being in your 20's in a AMG car is great cause most people that drive them are older and ballin. Its a more mature car than a m3 and bro you can fit mo hoes in a fough dough hahahah
