I have a reservation for a tour of the AMG factory Thursday. I am really exited, I know you guys are laughing at me. But what can I say, I am really excited about the tour. I'm taking my "Toy" back to the factory.

I hope I get to meet the guy that built my engine as well. They actually asked me for the VIN from my car when they sent me the name of the guy that will be giving me the tour. They also stated that photographs are not permitted during the visit.

The tour was awesome, I actually met, and took a photo with the guy who built the engine in my car. I also got to watch them test one of the new V8 Bi Turbo engines on a Dyno. It was insane seeing how red the Turbos and the exhaust got. They were doing some pretty long pulls on the engine without any issues. It was also amazing how clean the facility is where they build the engines. I would recommend the tour to anyone that has the opportunity to go. Even more amazing was how excited my wife was on the tour; she even asked if there will be an AMG GLK. All she has been talking about is horsepower, I think she has the fever.

I sure am. El paso did have a few good perks though.
I parked beside an S63 that had the V8 Bi Turbo in it, and on the showroom floor they had a CL that had the engine in it as well. I was also told that this engine would not be offered for the E class.
No pictures were allowed in the factory or where they customize cars. However I took some pictures inside the showroom. There were a a lot of Gullwings being customized.
