I hate the idea that if you have a nice car you need to spend 3k+ plus on wheels or your cheap. There are many brands which are in the $2k -3k range that make good wheels

I gotta tell you, D2 Forged wheels are nice. I have a set. But the chrome lip on one is flaking. They are 5 months old, but since they came on the car from the original owner, D2 Forged told me to pound salt on getting them fixed since I did not buy them new. For the price of these wheels, I dont care how many owners in 5 monhts there have been, they should warranty a chrome peel. IMO their customer service is crap and I would never but a set of these. DPEs and HREs would be my choice. I also loved my IForged.
Forged route...

Of course there are good wheels in the $2k-3k range. They are the $5k wheels being sold used in the classifieds section here.

I think people get too carried away with "OMGIHAVEANEXPENSIVECARIHAVETOHAVEEXPENSIVEWHEELS" . If I find $200 wheels that lightweight, strong, and look great, I'll buy them. I could not care less if they have a certain brand stamped on them or if someone knows that I only paid $200 for them.
$4800 savings = coke and ****** (ok, maybe just more mods for my project cars)

Not this time, Clayton. I'd love to come down, but I have a wine pairing dinner I'm participating in and need to test my dishes before the competition. Saturday is going to be about cooking.

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
That's a horrible..
PS..and you better watch out, TSW has a few new wheels coming in Benz apps that look darn good. The Nurburgring is easily as good a quality as a bunch of these overpriced trinkets, and they have a couple more that look super sharp.
No, I don't sell them or have any interest in them. And yes, they are a South African company, but the stuff is made in China now. You've just got to take each wheel on its own merit, and the particular fitment.
