WHAT'S THE HIGHEST DYNO # FOR A STOCK E55?
I know dyno #'s don't mean squat and there are different types of dyno's .... but I'm curious does anyone know? I think we all agree that 410-420hp is a strong runner and 440-460tq is a strong stump puller......... does wheel size play a part in putting hp to the ground?

Sonny is the No1 guy here in OZ for AMG's
His dyno is a mainline dyno. most of the 55K he dyno's stock make 300kw to 310kw dead stock. I was very happen when my dead stock e55K with even stock air filters pulled 327kw/438hp at the wheels
Car is a 03 model

It is not a good idea comparing dyno numbers from different shops let alone from all over the country. Having said that, I've seen stock E55s dyno at 400 whp and all the way up to 438 whp The numbers will vary. Track numbers are usually more consistent and reflect actual performance as you well know

On a dynojet I pulled 411whp 456wtq. My best 1/4 mile time in sunny 70 degree day on street tires was 12.4 @ 116. According to the butt dyno when it hits 40 around here I feel my car pulling hard, much harder then my 12.4 @116 but then again just a butt dyno

No i have not run my car
and yes i have stock rims the car is 100% stock from rims to air filters
The mainline dyno that sonny has is right on the money i think since most e55k he gets on there make around 300 to 310kw so his dyno looks spot on

Yep.... wheels will affect dyno numbers as well. I remember losing 8 whp going from 17" forged wheels to 18" chrome (super heavy) AMG wheels on my C32. Wheels will definitely make a difference.... it just depends on what type of wheel and specs you use.

Mustang Dyno (bone stock):
381rwhp/457rwtq
I was told that Mustangs usually dyno a bit lower than Dynojets, so I'm assuming on a Dynojet I would've made in the low 400rwhp range.
Generally speaking, is this true?
Thoughts? Opinions?

2004 E55 AMG
I made 417whp/553wtq on Dyno Jet, on a hot day. Only mods were my I/C pump and a heat exchanger. Oh, and on 19x8.5 and 19x10 wheels, if that matters.
Edit: REALLY old thread, haha. Whoops.

Kleemanns dyno is really weird as it calculates HP for you at the crank (or tries to) It's a Dynomet
Cory said ole Gid_e_up from Indys 55 was the highest stock 55 they had ever seen. Mine calculated at around 480 crank while his friggin came out to around 517. Almost 40 hp MORE than mine. They were shocked.
No idea of the wheel hp so I guess it's just a story.

A Dyno-jet is used by lots of people for know what their car makes at the RWHP/TQ. It you ask people who have dyno on the same style we should be able to get a good ideas as to who has the high HP on a dyno.

My car was a factory freak,It did 471 rwt 402whp on a loading dyno so about 500rwt 440whp on a dynojet.
Could be why Im making 598rwt now with just a 178mm pulley
here is mine bone stock to all my mods on a load dyno in 4th gear
Edit crap, this dyno is my car vs DIMAs car with 168mm pulley and eurocharged tune!!!

E55 w/ goods, Z32 Project underway
Excuse the analogy, but this is kind of like asking which girl has the biggest ****; I mean really, so many variables in measuring, in the end, does it matter?

Car is still bone stock except for a S55 snorkel
