Old Republic Warranty's
I am currently in the process of refinancing my E55 and have the opportunity to buy a warranty program from http://www.orias.com/index.html through my credit union. Platinum coverage is $2800 for 36mths/60K miles or $3500 for 48mths/75K miles. Should I get it and does anyone of you guys have experience with them?

If I recall old republic was ok.. The years are from purchase and miles are total miles on car so it gives u the balance! So if you have 50,000 a 75,000 will only give u 25,000 miles

In fact, call all the local MBZ dealers and see what the service advisers have to say about it. The service advisers are the ones that go to battle with these companies to get the work paid. I think they would be a great source to see how legitimate a company is...

Just went throught this pain and bought another one
Ive had EasyCare and they have been great.
Most recent, car is in shop this weekend getting new Subwoofer, Passenger door tweeter, center channel speaker, driver sunvisor that fell apart, cupholder and idler pulley and belt, yes even belt. Covered without a hitch and only two phone calls. And that is after they have already paid out 43 thousand dollar in claims with this warranty.
I currently have a 2003 with 74,800k.
I called everyone and quotes from everyone. EasyCare is no longer an option at $9200 for 2 more years of TotalCare. Don't blame them.
So here is a list that everyone else can shop as I did.
EasyCare- stated care for my car came out to $3800 for 2 years
Continental Warranty Inc, svc advisor at benz gave it thumbs up
Warrentech, they are swaying away from AMG's though
Fidelity, kind of sketchy from what I've found
Prizm or Prism, RPM north sells it, should be good, little pricey
CNA
Intl, and Protect. Admins Svc Inc
Members Choice MBI- credit union accessible
Google other MBI (mechanical breakdown insurance) companies
I found that a lot of these warranty companies will only sell you a policy if you go through a specific company or dealer they service.
So I had to borrow money on my car from my credit union, then I was able to take advantage of the warranty I purchased
36k/36months extended Gold Coverage which basically covers everything down to buttons and seat motors for $3200 plus tax came to $3600. Can't beat it for $100 bucks a month for peace of mind.
Bought it yesterday, paying off my temporary loan I borrowed on Monday.
Good luck and research research research.
I look each provider up through:
Ripoffreport.com
BBB
CorporationWiki
And of course a good Google Search for complaints
Then once you find a good one, ask for their contracts and compare the listed covered parts and ask about Allowable Labor Rates.
Good luck as I believe a warranty is the only way to go on these cars for long term ownership.

Very good day for me guys. I got a 3.25% interest rate on the refinance, paid $3400 for 48ths/75K miles and a zero deductable. This warranty is specifically through the credit union as a member and she said they have been great. I got the platinum coverage which covers the airmatic components
and just about everything else these cars have issues with, even supercharger maintenance
I can take it to an inde or dealership, as long as they are licensed to work on MB, I will be ok.
