Anyone used this?

I was just viewing a BMW forum and it seems like this product is very popular. They make a model for the MBs too. Check it out

Sweet! I wouldn't mind doing this since I hate the one that's currently in there.

Nice find Shardul - been looking for something like this for my CLS! I'll be contacting them to get details but if someone finds out first it would be nice to know how this system integrates and handles the following:

1) service reminder alerts
2) analog clock sync
3) functionality of all steering wheel controls and instrument cluster info
4) use of parking sensors (i hear that you lose this if you swap out the OEM stereo)
5) use of in dash disc changer
6) integration with the MOST system
7) increase or decrease in wattage over stock stereo
8) and last but not least pricing

Let us know or I'll be sure to find out and post back here - a bunch of us CLS cats would be all over this as well.

Nice find shardul

Looks like a nice piece... My kenwood has been acting up lately and knowing my itch for AV I'd be game to play guinea pig.

It's using a module that fully intergrates the steering wheel controls so that the + - buttons are volume up and down respectively and the phone buttons control track up and track down. Aslo it's wired so that IC I am at the radio screen on the instrument cluster I can droll through sources but nothing is functional on the instrument cluster as far as informing you what is being played etc.

It's set up really nice, the unit just resets itself ever so often. Can be very annoying at times

I love the look of this piece. Seems pretty promising. I'll let everyone know what I come up with as far as pricing and availability.

The one thing I'm not too thrilled about will be loosing true Dolby 5.1 sound but that can always be remedied with some 3 way components and nice kick panels

The BMW units appear to be around 700. So hoping in that range.

SO frustrating when a business does not give the price of a product.

If it's SO great, post the (*&(in price. Don't be ashamed of it and don't make me work for basic info!!!!

Pet peeve of mine.

Wow $700 is a pretty decent price considering that a Video Comand Unit swap was like $1,500 and it's used to boot.
