Is there any way to do this? I saw an E55 from Dyno-comp do this I think.

Drive in M. Tap the gas once you downshift.
I did it a few times in this clip

YES!!! I knew there was a way to do this with our smart transmissions. It's almost like rev matching in a manual car minus the clutch. Simply amazing! You have an insane sounding, very sick CLS55. I wish my E55 sounded like that with the resonator delete. Thanks for the tip bro!

I tried giving a little tap while downshifting and you do hear a little blip, but the car jerks forward a little.

I do it all the time when I'm bored in traffic. It takes some practice to know exactly when to give it gas, since these transmissions are a bit slow.

That car is just downshifting. If you're driving say in 3rd while giving it say 10% throttle it will do a smooth quick downshift.
Rev matching is say your in 6th gear and either double clutch it and get the revs to where there supposed to be in 2nd and go from 6th to 2nd real smooth from matching the revs where they would be at that speed in 2nd.

Here's what I do. Hold the throttle at a constant, lets say about 1/8, and without increasing or decreasing the throttle downshift manually. When done correctly, sounds just like rev match

drive an R8 with the V10 - the blip of the downshift is just like being in an F1 car - simply insane - great fun to drive -

but unless you want to believe all the false promises that andy/mhp used to post around here...no, there isn't anything we can currently do to rev match downshifts.
