Your scoops were shipped yesterday Marcus and they will be delivered to you before 3:00 tomorrow.

Sorry about the delay brother but paying customers scooped up(no pun intended) my stock and I had to wait for the next batch to come back from the coating company for your R&D set!!

Peeps,

At 75MPH are these scoops slamming air into the intake? They totally make sense but trying to get a feeling of additional HP these might bring?

Again I get the concept here.

Thanks.

I would describe it as funneling and smoothing the air into the intake tubes. These would work be even better in conjunction with the python tubes.

Remember the biggest restriction getting air into the engine is the throttle body size so a TTM 82mm TB Kit would do wonders!

Ummm.. hate to sound negative but I don't see how they would make much power, if any at all. As stated, ram air doesn't really work unless you're traveling at a high velocity, and the flat panel (with the TTI logo) at the mouth might even make more turbulence at the entrance to the air box. Unfortunately you can't see any sort of performance difference with something like that unless you run back to back 1/4mi drags and see if there's a difference in trap speed. You won't see any change on a dyno, obviously, because the car is standing still.

If anything they look like a nice cosmetic mod and a good advertisement for TTM behind your grill.

I agree with the statement that the throttle body would be the largest performance increase. That being said, just giving my two cents. Flame suit is on.

I have to agree with taurran, these are jewelry plain and simple. The scoops are not introducing air that would not otherwise already be there. They are attempting to scoop air out of an enclosure they were alread in--- not reaching outside of said enclosure for capturing MORE AIR. Also, the air trapped between grille and condenser/radiator is actually fairly slow moving. If anything this design would help to grab air that has not been heated by the condenser---minimal.
Also, at higher speeds air compounds inside of the pocket of air between grille and the condenser-- and actually acts to help create the aerodynamics of the car. Only so much air can pass through there--and at 70 MPH most of the air is actually pushed up over the car. My wife says I'm usually wrong though.

They do indeed. After my headers, this is next. I can't quite afford the TB or Python Tubes at the moment.

Quote: Looks sweet! you can tell by the design that that these will help direct air flow and make some top end power.

Air scoops like these are really going to shine out on the road where the air flow and pressure are high. On a dyno even with big fans is no were near the same air flow/volume that you see at 60+ mph.
True true!
