IS THERE ANY INTREST IN A MB 82MM THROTTLE BODY ADAPTOR PLATE?

Hey guys I had a custom machined adaptor plate made on a CNC. Its a direct bolt on for the 80mm SC inlet to the 82MM 550 Mercedes throttle body. If so I know now how to get them, didn't know if theres anyone who has the adaptor plates made but I couldn't find one so had it custom made. Required small porting to the SC inlet but could probably be done with the SC inlet installed on the car still.

First Off let me state im not selling these or making money Im just a enthuiast and had a buddy of mine spend a week designing and making this adaptor plate so just seeing if anyone would want one now that he has all the info saved in the cnc machine. Also no it will not work with the stock 78mm SC inlet different bolt pattern and it would take alot more porting to that SC inlet to make it work I looked into that when designing this one.

Cool. I do not recomment doing any porting with part still on the car. Those shavings will be ingested into the sc and then the engine and that is a big no no

Honestly if you are pulling the snout off why not just get the snout for the 82mm TB?

it's a MUCH Cleaner install that way

I love how everyone here is an expert...

S55 uses a 82mm TB and corresponding SNOUT. those are the parts in my car and they all have AMG part numbers, the SNOUT even has an AMG casting on it

The 80mm intake plenum.. yes. I have not seen a plenum that fits both the 82MM TB and the supercharger. EvoSport uses adapter, and Renntech has a modified plenum. If this configuration exists.. everyone is missing the boat.

I (deam of) the 80MM plenum, machined by Bruce at TTM, and then mated to an 82mm MB Throttle Body, but alass.. only a truck lip spoiler in my mod list...

You couldn't be more right I hate people playing expert like yourself. And you sir are dead wrong the S55's do NOT use an 82 TB or Snout. NO mercedes 55 engine came with over an 80mm throttle body and the only one to use an 80mm tb is infact the 2007 sl55 and the throttle body is a 275 part number which comes from the v12 engines. Please do you research next time and not pollute the forums with more misinformation theres enough on here- Shame on you AMGpilot.

The S550 comes with an oem 82mm tb,not sure if the inlet from an 07 sl55 is a direct fit,but the s550 uses an 82mm tb from MB.

So your adapter is for an 550tb that mates to a sl55 inlet?

Someone needs to just make an adapter to mount an 80/82 to the stock inlet so we dont have to tear the s/c apart

Then Provide the part numbers for everyone! If there is this "Unicorn" s/c inlet I'd put one on my car with a smile and chalk up this plate as a huge waste of time.

And skratch77 There could be a plate made for the Stock SC inlet as we had both a stock e55 sc inlet and an 07sl55 sc inlet and the problem with the e55 sc inlets as ill call them is it would take much more porting of the sc inlet then the sl55 inlets required. Either way you would have to remove the SC inlet to port correctly.

Do you happen to have any pics of the stock inlet and the sl55 inlet side by side for comparison?

Did you ever post any part numbers or pictures of your 82MM throttle body mated to your 82mm supercharger plenum?
