Evosport power mods for E63....anyone on here tried them?

I was researching some modification for the E63 and noticed that Evosport seems to make some parts for this car that produce some serious power, but are in line with Kleemann and Renntech with regards to price. My concern is that the power numbers they quote are on the C63 and not the E63. Has anyone on here done one of there modification packages and tested it to see what it actually does? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have Evosport mods on my C63, but my neighbor has a W212 E63 with Evosport LT headers, ECU, pulley and airbox. Not sure on the exhaust side, but car sounds insane so I assume they did some exhaust work on it as well. I raced him when he first got the car and beat him. After he modified the car, he smoked me, so I had to also get headers, so now I'm beating him again

Anyway, the reason there's a discrepancy in power is because the C is de-tuned from the factory, so the evo ECU automatically gets it back to "normal" 63 numbers of around 500bhp, and also gives a few additional ponies. From that point on, the numbers should be the same. In other words, don't look at the gains but look at the end result, which should be the same for both cars. My car makes roughly 576 hp, so I assume his E63 makes the same as I believe we have the same mods now. But mine is lighter so I win

Mitch, like Blair said, the end numbers are very similar. The "gains" will look a little skewed because of the detuned C motor. A tune alone on an E doesn't do much, but after that the gains should be the same.! Evo does make some quality stuff and the guys are really cool.!!

Hello! Do you have any dyno sheets on a W211 E63 that show what that car makes in power for your different stages of modification? Also, do you know of any E63s in the Midwest with your parts?

Mitch,

I have plenty of 63 charts, but not isolated to the E. The motor is the same in all the chassis. They make the same gains (with the exception that the C makes more as it is limited from the factory).

I have plenty of Midwest customers with 63's to talk to if you want a referral. Are you near Chicago?

thanks
brad

I am in Indianapolis, but can go to Chicago if I need to. Please let me know who you have in that area with a W211 E63 so that I can deal with a person / car that is just like my own. Thank you.

As I said, I have plenty of 63 customers in that neck of the woods, but no w211 E63. If a black series is sufficient then I have someone for you to meet with!

thanks

None of your posts above said you did not have any W211 E63 customers. I just double checked. I would imagine the Black Series if closer to my car in stock form than the detuned C63, so please let me know where I could find that person. Thank you.

i have the Evo pulley on my car as well as the Evo rotors . The pully makes some power and there are quit a few posts throughout the forum about it . The lieght weight rotors as for freeing up some HP due to rotating mass and unsprung weight mostly likely but they do help the car stop on a dime . If you are not wearing your seatbelt and do not know the brakes you will kiss the wind shield .

Is it me or are E63's just not very popular? I see W211 E55's all day long, but even in LA you just don't come across many W211 or W212 E63's.

Well due to the older model 55's more affordable #s and many cars coming of of leases within the last several years of course you would see more of them . plus they were produced for 5 years too compared to 3 years for the 63 211 and 2 years on the 212s . give them time and they will be around .

Prices are droppping and leases are coming due for the 07's and 08's .
