Just spoke w/Jayson, I've bought this IC/CAI kit (it's the EXACT same SPEEDRIVEN Kit, just NOT painted black yet)...It's SOLD!!!!! Thank you Jay! unless Marcin flys out to SoCal? I'll be having Jeremy of OE Tuning doing another 4 hr + Dyno tune extravaganzzza!!!
My local MB-Tech is doing the install as soon as I get them... Can't wait (I'll have the entire kit custom painted before install)
They'll look just like these black SPEEDRIVEN larger Intercoolers & Scorpion Air-Intakes after paint, I may add some RED accents to make them really pop!

Look @ ALL their splits, then report back about hot underhood air
P.S. even w/stock piping in place when's the last time you dyno'd w/hood closed? lolol
Due to posts like this I wont even bother posting my Dyno's after said install..

Very familiar with it but it does not seem to be the best sucking in all that hot air. Maybe some type of heat shields would get even more power. As you know, the lower the intake charge the more power the car will make. Sucking in extremely hit underhood air takes a serious bite out of the intercooler system. Imagine how much faster it would be if the engine were getting ambient air.

It appears a mute point w/these Turbo V12's I've been running a similar outside air-filter setup for 1.5 yrs now, there's ZERO loss of power on or off multiple dyno's either from a dead stop or slowly moving the Turbo's get more than enough cool air needed to perform.
The larger Top mounted IC's plus huge trunk reservoir cool the air intake charge substantially...

Yes it will I'm goin mod crazzzeee.. But this system works regardless (though the soon to be installed Dodge Viper style hood that comes w/Mishadesigns widebody kit will certainly help)

In terms of sucking hot air...I don't see it affecting the turbos much as what really matters at this point is the volume of air the turbos are sucking in.
