Anybody else get "Warranty Extension Information" Letter from MB? Driver Airbag ...
I'm still under the original factory warranty(4yrs/50K), so this may apply only to the cars that still have the original MB warranty.
Just received a letter in the mail today saying basically that "due to production quality issue electrical resistance variations may be detected within your driver's air bag wiring harness. Airbag light will be illuminated Trouble Code 9103 or 9123"
Warranty is extended from the original 4yr/50K to 10yr/100K. This extension would cover and repairs needed.
Just passing along this info to all those that are still under warranty through MB.

Yup, got mine today and I'm definitely out of factory warranty. I do have CSC though. Have never heard of said issues from the airbag. Only got passenger airbag error messages.

I got mine a couple weeks ago, and my SRS Warning message popped up the day prior. I took the car in to the dealer and sure enough it was the cause of the SRS message. Dealer changed out the driver's airbag harness under extended warranty since my factory warranty has long expired.

Did you still have the original MB factory warranty when you extended? What MB extended warranty did you get? And if you don't mind me asking, what were the terms and how much did you pay? (I need to extend my original warranty by the end of March 2011, so I have to start shopping around at the dealerships).

I'm living dangerously by having no extended warranty. The only extended warranty I have is the factory extension on the airbag wiring harness and SBC...I think...anyone get any other letters indicating a factory warranty extension on any other parts of the car?

i'm out of warranty, just got this 9103 code. my car has 50k miles on it, 2006. i dont know if the previous owner got the letter. if i take the car to MB, will they replace the clock spring under warranty?

My airbag (SRS) light and message came on at 113k miles last week. I will get the code read at an auto parts store this week to determine if code 9103 or 9123 is present.
Has anyone had experience of getting Mercedes to honor the wire harness replacement outside of the 100k warranty?
It appears as this wire harness failure borders more on a recall side than an extended warranty.
