Also, for the people out there that are unaware. The cost of just the titanium alone is approx. $200, then you have tooling, precision machines, costs to run a business etc. If you want titanium, at a high quality, this price is more than great.

i would if i had that kind of spare cash laying around -- how about some billet aluminum? it would be cheaper not as strong of course but should be strong enough???

Ultimate Tensile Strength: 138,000psi
Shear Strength: 79,800psi
Density: .160 lb/in^3
Additional note: Grade 5 Titanium will not rust.
As presented above, titanium bolts/nuts have a strength that is very comparable to grade 8 steel bolts/nuts that are used in high strength applications. Furthermore, based on the density figure above grade 5 titanium is 45% lighter than steel components.
