Hey Mo, you're friends with track owners/management, right? Am I gonna get kicked out if I start laying down low 10's, or any 10's for that matter? I'm learning a new set up, tires, suspension, motor and SC. I suspect I'm going to need lots of runs to get "dialed in" and I would hate to get booted on a "practice" run.

5 hrs is still plenty of time to get in as many runs as you want even if 40 cars show up assuming both lanes are prepped and open. I'm probably not even going to attempt a pass until after the sun goes down and the temps drop.

thats cool! the main reason i asked is b/c it was a "joint" rental with the other group (IIRC) ... if its just us.. then it will be awesome!! 40 cars is like 15 runs each..hehe
Ill still be there.. sucks no E85 gas stations anywhere near the track.. ill have to tow my car..

I hope that is not a problem.. I ran 9.8@145 a few days ago in vegas .. from what i understand private rentals do no require cages? correct me if im wrong.. i would hate to drive all the way there and get kicked out after 1 run..

The forecast is going to change 4 times between now and then, it's probably a good thing if they are calling for rain at this point in the game. If the forecast still says rain by next Friday morning theres no way I'm lugging my hauler and car up and over that mountain in Friday LA traffic, i will stay in OC and find something to do or something to drink.

Weather Sunday has cause the March Meet to be postponed till Saturday the 26th of March. All tickets good for the postponed Sunday will be honored on Saturday the 26th. Please retain your ticket stub, this is your rain check for admittance.
Friday will be a setup day and a test and tune from 1 to 5. Gates will open @ 9am. Weekend ticket, event ticket and weekend campers will be addmited w/ rain check

Guys, please do NOT post any updates/speculation/prediction about the event.... let me post all the updates, as I get them directly from track management or the track owner.
As of now, we still aim to run on the 25th (at night).... I do see that weather may not cooperate with us. Forecast shows that there maybe few showers on Friday and on Saturday; this is something they can NOT control. They will probably make the final call on Thursday. If the event does get delayed due to weather again, then we'll have to work together to decide whether we want to postpone the event or cancel it all together.

So much for the saying "Sunny California", how many times has this event been re-scheduled?
Accuweather says no rain after 4 or 5 pm and temps in the mid 40's by 10pm...thats low 10 or high 9 second weather!!!!...take a look

Thank you for all your hard work on these events Mo! Look forward to hearing if this is going to happen. The good thing is that we have back up plans to go skiing. Either way it's a win win. Would be great to get some runs at night with a low DA.

So much for the saying "Sunny California", how many times has this event been re-scheduled?

If you look at chances of percipitation though, you'll see it still shows that there is 70+ percent chance of showers all the way up to 11 pm. But even if doesn't rain after 6 pm, the rain from all day ruins the track prep. It'd be very disappointing to go out there and not have any traction.

Event moved to: Friday 04/01/2011
All weather stations are showing a minimum of 70% chance of rain on Friday. So track officials have made the call to postpone this track event to the following Friday. Seems like weather is just not cooperating with us this time around

My sweetie is happy, now we are heading to Park City to find some of their new powder. It's been a few years since I was on a board. I see a bunch of bruises coming. Ouchie I was looking forward to setting a baseline for my Vette. 10 day forecast shows a storm starting next Friday. lol ARGGGGG I am not playing an April fools joke. They are wrong half the time, we can hope. Thank you for all your work Mo.
