Anybody has Evosports Brake Rotors?

It could be time for me to replace the front and back brake rotors on my W211 E55. I was thinking of getting Evosports brake rotors. Anybody tried them? Reviews?

After talking with Peter @ ACG and we are going to do these for my car. He said that evosport was up to speed with these and shouldn't have anymore production issues. Of course that's 3rd/4th party so take it for what it's worth. I sold my set of evosport fronts to E55Dimon ^ and he seems to like em I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong.

I love the brakes. They treated me good so far. That extra slot on the rotor looks damn good too.

You will like 'em. About 30# less rotational mass and unsprung weight. You accelerate faster and stop faster and handle better. If you want to go fast everywhere - - - add lightness.

I think the issues were actually with the aftermarket pads causing heat spots on the rotor. I'm not sure which pads Evosport now recommends to use with their product though?

Yes I definitely think that was the biggest issue. Last I spoke with Brad @ Evosport he recommended Akebono Pads to go with the rotors.

I like that they offer less unsprung weight and that the vents are in the PROPER direction, unlike the OEMs. There's a right and left rotor with the Evosport, unlike the OEM which uses one part number for both sides. That means one of the vents will be backwards.

My only concern with Evosport is where they are sourcing the mfg. The quality of the material is really important with rotors.

Thanks! I think the weight savings is probably with the aluminum hats (iron is iron and I assume you can't do much about weight with the rotors.)

iirc, Brad said that they can be ordered w/o being drilled and you can get them slotted only. I don't care about looks and for me, slotted only is a better choice. I worry about cracks forming with drilled and there's no performance value at all with drilled. Has anybody here done the slotted only?

Why so againist slotted/drilled?
