Yes, the stock calipers will fit under 18" rims; the Brembo GTs require 19" rims.

His wife crazy
I guess the cat is out of the bag. Yesterday i was able to do a search by the provided part numbers. Today I had to browse the SL catalog to find the wheels, as the part number search returns "No Parts Found" for either front or rear wheels.

I just checked about two minutes ago, and the wheels came right up.

For those less familiar with how to navigate the parts.com website, the following steps will take you to the rims:

1. Go to the parts.com website
2. On the left side, click on the link for Mercedes Benz vehicles
3. When the next screen comes up, click on "E Class" for vehicle model
4. On the next screen, on the left, click on the link for "multiple part number search.
5. The next screen will display a fill-in form where you can list the part numbers. On the right side, the first box will show Mercedes as the manufacturer. In the box immediately below it, click on the link, and then select Mercedes Benz, which will then populate the rest of the boxes.
5. Now fill in your part numbers. On line 1, put 66474481; on the line below it, put 66474482.
6. The price per wheel of $138 will come up.
7. If you want to buy them, click the "add to cart" button.
8. To check out, go to your shopping cart and update the quantity to two (2) for each part number.
9. Complete the rest of the ordering process and your'e good to go.

I believe these wheels are being discontinued by MB; hence the blow-out pricing. Hope this helps.

It was between $50 and $70, total. I ordered one rim first in order to do a test fitment, along with some other parts, so I don't know the exact shipping on the first rim. They usually ship from the MB parts warehouse nearest your location. I've always found their shipping charges to be very reasonable.

And FWIW, the wheels arrived double boxed. I couldn't have asked for better packing. I'm thinking about picking up spares for the front and rear in case I ever curb one of them. At this price, it's cheaper than getting a decent wheels repair done.

Good God. It actually worked via that method.

Unfortunately, the cheapest 275x35x19 tires [kumho ecstas] were $200 a piece.

I'm running Michelin PS2s in 245/35/19 and 275/30/19, respectively. No rubbing and my car is lowered via a Renntech ELM (v2).

Wholly crap! This is amazing. Kom55 you're like my hero! First you help with the Renntech and then this - just bought a set for my E55. And by the way, your car looks amazing - I wouldn't paint 'em black. They look awesome in silver the way they come from the factory!!!! Thanks for the amazing tip - can't wait until mine show up and I get new rubber on these babies!!!

Komp55 - wheels just showed up today - are you using the stock lug bolts? If not, what size did you need to go to?

Tried to line them up just to get an idea how they'll look. Gotta go dig the Suburban out of my barn and head to the tire shop (f ucking rain bull****).

Hopefully pics tomorrow with them on the car with the tires. I'll weigh the whole setup front and rear before mounting, too. I know people always ask about weights
