yep...80+% of our sound is dictated by the mufflers rather than anything in front of them. but it will sound more aggressive at wot!

Well ran into my first issue. I got tuned on Tuesday, yesterday I drove the car for the first time, all was good during the first drive, parked it for 5 hours, went back to drive it, and the headers after "normalizing" were hitting the tranny mount, off throttle. So last night I had to modify the tranny mount bracket. Hopefully thats the last of it.

My installer noticed the exhaust pipe was pretty close to the trans. mount during the install so he ground it down a bit

Any dyno runs or additonal pics yet? Is +60 RWHP (with proper tune) achievable if I've purchased the entire system?

It's going to be epic!

Anyone know who the last was to receive theirs? Would be kind of nice to see how far (or...ah hemmm...*not* far) down the list we've gotten.

My car was just taken into Mercedes yesterday because of a check engine light and my gas tank has a leak in it!!! The cost to replace it and labor is $2200 which I do not have, so I need to free up cash. Hopefully Chris will understand the situation and give me a refund especially since the time waited has been crazy.

Good luck with that bro, already tried that route minus the gas leak. Only option in my opinion is the Better Business Bearau

I also emailed him a couple days ago and nothing.

Did you guys not pay with credit cards? If you did, dispute the charges with your CC company immediately based on non-delivery of the merchandise within a commercially reasonable time.

Yeah no response in three days now also. I do not want to screw him over him he bought all the supplies already, but if he cannot even tell us the straight scoop on where he is at, and who is next in line to get their headers on an exact date then something is going on.

BBB does nothing, he has to actually be a member and care that it would affect his rating with them. Since he does this as a side job for extra income, is this even a registered business?

As for your credit cards you might want to check, quite a few cards nowadays have a certain time period that you need to file by. Usually within 60 days of payment, so you might be out of luck there too.

i don't have a vested interest in this so i don't care if people request refunds or other remedies, but i just checked in with chris after seeing a few posts. not that it's anyone's business but he just had a sewer pipe collapse under his driveway so he's had more pressing issues to deal with over the last few days.

regardless, as a one man operation with several irons in the fire, i know chris' projects can take a while...but i can assure you he's NOT dishonest and his headers are worth the wait.

just a follow up...a few sets are at coating and here are a portion of the rest. keep in mind that chris only intended to build 10 sets for the group buy but accommodated 5 others, and on top of that a few people changed their orders from headers only to full systems. these are all hand made part time and imho he deserves a littles more patience...especially from those not a part of the deal and inciting panic about chris not delivering.

Chris got back to me as well and confirmed quite a few things.

"Hey John,

Thanks for understanding that life happens to all of us. Your set will be going to coating on Monday along with 4 other sets. And should be finished coating by this Friday or the following Monday. As soon as they are back I will box them up and get them out to you ASAP! <Two sentences deleted by ME> Since I can't post on the forum, could you be kind enough to relay this to everyone else involved? I am a man of my word and everyone will get the headers they ordered, and quality won't be spared!

Best regards,

Chris"

A little frustrated that it has taken so long...but this guy really does seem like a good guy and I'm pretty damn sure we're all going to be very pleased with the finished product.

A little patience goes a long way. Well put. Chris has been nothing but kind to me. Its sad to see a few people some of which jumped on last min getting pissed about it taking longer than expected.

Let the slug fest begin people.....

Filed a dispute with my cc company for the initial $1500 payment and a dispute with PayPal for the second payment of $1000.

I will not state exactly what I posted, but the point is Chris has been less than professional throughout this group buy process, and regardless if this is a side job he has not delivered on most people's orders to this point. Regardless of me needing to pay a car bill, I think I have every right to request a refund when I have paid nearly five months ago and have been paying interest on merchandise never received; I have tried contacting Chris personally through e-mail several times with some questions: where are you currently at on the list, when will my headers be completed, and what is the exact date I will receive them.

I have not received one single answer to these questions whatsoever which is total BS!!! Well, with the first response posted by FF on PayPal I can tell this is going to be a nightmare. He stated I am a "fraud, dishonest, and will take legal action against me" if I continue with the claims! What do you people in the group buy think about me filing a claim for not receiving merchandise? Chris.

I would have done the same thing honestly. He didn't deliver on what was promised, he can try to "take legal action" all he wants and will only be waisting everyones time because he WILL lose.

were you one of the people that upgraded their order from headers to full exhaust? if not, i would think you still had to have some communication with chris in order to make a second payment...???
