MBH LTH lower price

With the success our long tube headers of the past 2 years. We have really honed in on how to make them, what materials we need. things of that nature. The headers have been a good success on the forum and for clients across the USA and abroad. So I'm happy to announce we have lowered our price for the time being on CLS55 and E55 headers. From what started out at $3800 is now down to $2995.

As always our headers come with a lifetime warranty and our wheel horsepower guarantee of 40 or more WHP over stock.

We also will be releasing our DC610 package very soon. It consists of 3 simple mods to bring the engine horsepower up to 610hp and torque as high as 710mtq. Cool thing about this package is... It all can be installed in 1 day! I'll have more on that later.

Should I not have let anyone know we have lowered our price? I'm happy for your group buy, Infact the moderator/admin asked me about it before it got approved. I opted not to try and block it. Obviously there are people who want different things for their car.

If anyone wants, we will be racing two Dyno-Comp DC610's at Speedworld next Saturday If anyone wants to come and see what 3 simple mods can do at the track, feel free to come on out.

Not only that, but how do you compare mild steel to stainless steel? One year warranty vs lifetime warranty?

These stupid comments on this thread more and more make me not want to come here. As the price of these cars drop, so do the drivers intellect. Its come a long way since you bought my E55 Ilya!

Marcus. Just it pisses me off when people start posting in others sales thread that they can get it cheaper and complain why is it expensive. if people don't want to spend $3k, then don't. Its been 2 years since I bought your E55, and btw I am getting tired of telling you that there is only one L in my name!

Do you guys go into Morton's to complain that their steak is to expensive when you can get steak at Outback? It's still meat right? Just different quality material and service.

I will try again in case I missed anything....is there any type of discounting happening for the E63 crowd, or just the 55s?

Are you being sarcastic? I will wait to make a decision in which headers to get. Want to see the reviews of Fab Floored once they received and installed the headers from the groupbuy.

Wow, some animosity toward the only person speaking the truth and what everyone else wants to say, but does not. It vexes me when vendors claim to be doing all their work simply for the customer and claim they are not making a ton of money off a product that costs far below what is being charged. In addition, I really do question how many are actually falling for the old marketing scam of raise the price (base price in this case), and then have a "sale" which makes the item look "attractive." Nobody is questioning the quality, but for a vendor to masquerade as if he is doing this all for the customer is . To be honest it is perfectly fine for a vendor to charge a premium for his quality, unique, and limited product, but the fact that you can buy headers for other high end cars for WAY cheaper makes it all a joke. Hate all you want guys, but this is the truth...

Material, Research, Testing, Fabrication, and Lifetime Warranty are just a few key factors a Vendor must consider when pricing a product. That is if the company wants to be around for a while.
Copying another vendors headers, reselling them using a less expensive material, and limiting the warranty is not an equal comparison. Thus the price difference between both products discussed.

Why post this nonsense when you're obviously not interested in the product.
Is your intention to ruin the experience for those who ARE interested?

If you want to buy his headers I have no problem nor do I care what you pay. I am simply stating that vendors who claim to be something or do something for one reason, yet is being totally devious is BS. I know how much the materials cost for a set of headers because my friend is a long time engineer who is retired, and now does custom art work from stainless steel and sells them to stores in Scottsdale and at art fairs. The research and development is obviously worth money, but 3-4x markup? It really is pointless to argue anymore, and I will not "ruin" the thread, but if you want to buy into the whole "I am only looking out for the customer" then enjoy.

This is America. People are entitled to make a profit if they can. Business does not exist to break even or scrape by. What confuses me is people that feel the need to essentially go into someones place of business (in this case this thread) and sh*t on it. That is classless. People do not pull this crap in person to someones face, but it seems like this internet forum especially is saturated with people that think their ownership of a Mercedes gives them an open door to forget common courtesy. How would you like it if we showed up where you work and sh*t on everything you did in front of customers, your boss, or whoever is valuable to you? Just something to consider. If you do not like their pricing, keep your mouth shut and move on. You say you do not care, but you keep posting.

I'm always willing to help people out on dealers for any type of header we offer. In fact if we don't offer it, I'll make it. I am part owner of 3 companies including MBH. When I came on here I was just an average joe loving to talk cars. With that said I didn't make my living to afford my 3rd Mercedes by selling headers. In fact every day I juggle all 3 companies. I started MBH because it was a fun idea, It gave me an excuse to be around cars whenever I want. If people think there is big money in selling hand made headers? There simply isn't. I try to be as transparent with my dealings as possible. If I get deals from the steel yard I always pass the saving on to the end user. In the end I give away so much free stuff, when I want to do a project. When other may only discount. I do it for free. On my dime. Mike, I even paid for your dyno out of my pocket. Just to meet and great other AMG enthusiasts in the area. Mike, before my E55 exhaust project fell off the deep end. I was going to do your mufflers and exhaust for free. In fact when I pick it back up, I'll do someone else's for free.

If MBH was the only source of income I had, MBH would be non-existent. One less sponsor for the forum and, one less header system available to you guys. the case it this, MBH will not fail, because its backed by me and my personal funds. So as long as my other companies do well, MBH will be around for a long time.

If you think there is some price gouging, gas station, scam going on. Then why are my headers for other cars priced less than everyone else? Why is our G55 header that is coming out $1200 less then the other one available?

People are quick to jump on the benz tax wagon. and its fine if they think that way.

Has anyone priced out 321 plate steel? Its crazy expensive and I have to search high and low sometimes to get it. A 24"x36"x 3/8" is like $700. Sure we get a few flanges cut out of it, but there is always "drop" (wasted material). When you have over $1000 (closer to $1500) just in one set of headers, and you haven't even added up $70 an hour I pay my head fabricator. Who puts about 16 man hours into each set, making every thing by hand... Where is the profitability in doing this? Then the $200-$300 a month just to let you guy know here at MBW I'm making headers. There's not much loot to go around when its all said and done. Maybe thats the reason no one really makes long tubes for these cars.

One thing is for sure hard work is not rewarded when I sell a set of headers. If that was the only reward I would have been long gone a while ago. Its rewarded when someone tell you they love the product. To me thats what keeps we wanting to do this. In fact it doesn't matter who does or doesn't buy into that. Its the people who know me personally that do. If it was all about the money and profitability making headers, then why am i so burnt out doing this?
