Is it going to be:

1 lane for MB and the other for BMW (or)
1 lane for drag radial and the other for street tires, as street tires destroy track prep (or)
None of the above.

Will there be a cap on the amount of cars that will be able to participate?

Looking forward to it. I, for one, am looking forward to a weekend of car enthusiast overload. No BMW/MB drama, no pissing contests, just a bunch of people, and (hot models) doing what we do. Some like to go fast in a straight line, some like to canyon carve, some like to put all of their efforts INSIDE the car. It's all great to me.

Thanks for Timmy, Marcus and Eurocharged for setting this all up. I know it can't be easy.

The only thing I have to do is drive 8 hours and have fun.

We are starting to figure the rest of that out. I would prefer a lane for the street tires and a lane for the drag myself.

8 hours isn't too bad, our tx crew is bringing the dyno.....

Clayton is dead on! A bunch of car freaks with badass cars hanging out! It should be epic. They said we can run the lanes however we want. No limit to how many runs you get. I will look to people like dodger, clayton, blackbenzz, charlie and the likes to give me opinions on how we want the lanes run. It is totally up to us and all the BMW guys. It is our track for the day and night. MODS, please police this thread and keep the rift raft out! Thanks!

I can't imagine one lane for street tires only will work. There won't be hardly anyone there that will have drag tires besides the hard core guys. I know quite a few of the M5 guys will want to race each other, like Chris and I, and neither of us have drag tires..... I can however respect the fact that those WITH drag tires would get annoyed. Completely understandable.

Mark the track owner said we are free to do whatever! We can run grudge matches, time trials, wahtever. He is a good guy and is willing to help us. We can swith it up.....whatever. I dont think we should dictate lanes but maybe put cars in groups unless they want to race each other. What to the vetrans think?????? Clayton,,,,blkbenzz.....Charlie.....Adam.......dod ger.....anyone???

Maybe let the big guns go first for their "fastest runs" before the rest of us low lifes hit the track to mess up the starting lanes? I'm cool with that......

Hmmm, this is a tricky one.

Since I'm a drag radial guy, I'd love to be selfish and recommend a drag radial only lane. But, looking at the big picture, Timmy is probably right about the number of guys running drag radials. If I had to guess, I'd say 20%, whereas our rentals, it's closer to 80%.

So, that said, in the name of keeping everything fun for everyone, I recommend just a free-for-all, as far as lanes are concerned. That way, if anyone wants to run anyone for a grudge match they can. Personally, I'm not looking to break any records in the middle of June, so let's just do what makes it fun for everyone.

I'd be open to anything though. Hell, I'll even race backwards down the track.

My 2 cents since I've probably done a hundred track rentals lol. This event seems more like an event to just hang out and run. Nobody really trying to break records in the middle of June right? If thats the case then it doesn't matter if we mix street tires in the lanes. They WILL f up the track prep, there is no doubt about that but I don't think anyone is targeting this event as anything more than a fun time.

LOL, how true. June racing for 55's consists of "NICE RUN BRO, a 12.7!!! Okay so if we were at MIR in the dead of winter that would have been a........"

**wanted to edit though...

Just like Famoso though, it wasn't about setting records....it was getting together with fellow hp lovers from all over the spectrum. From GTRs, to M5, to Challengers. Everyone was just great! Hope this event pans out the same.

Just to let you guys know Every Sat night we hold a Grudge racing event at MCIR. So If you guys want to roll back there it will be a blast. We race cars vs bikes you name it. There will be stuff there ranging from 14's-8's. Last year we ran until 2-3am some sat nights people raced for $20-$5k!!! We can give lengths, Hand flag races ETC. I say we head back on sat and do some grudge racing as well!!
