the only thing i would be worried about is the release of vapors as the paint cures. I blacked out lights on my last truck and they looked great the first week. After that a haze started to develop on the inside of the lens. Personally I would suggest allowing the paint to cure for a day or two before reassembling the lens and housing. maybe even going as far as putting into a 100* oven for a few hours to speed the process.

Sounds good. I have done about 8 sets and haven't had any issues so far.

Do you know anyone in SoCal who has experience doing this? Hmmm... Now I need to find someone who can photoshop those lights on my car so I can see how it'll look.

I'm sure there is, and there's someone that I normally g to for all of my stuff, but I want someone who has already done the trial and error with this.

And OP, can you do me a huge favor and post a pic of your car, head on with the lights off please? I want to just copy and paste your lights onto my car to see how it would look (my car is white with matte black accents). I want to make sure it won't look cheap on the white. Thanks

Doesn't this really hurt the light output (in essence killing any reflection) ?
