That's pretty sick! I cannot hear the sound (if there is any) since the computer I'm at doesn't have sound... but I've always liked the low muscle car like growl/rumble of the AMG supercharged V8 (own SL55 AMG)

So for me, I have the benefit of BOTH a high revving sport sedan with a sick top end with gearing and a lower revving GT roadster with a nice deep sound and supercharged torque.
I however cannot stand it when people talk **** about M5s/M6s and claim that they're flat out slower than the "older" AMG Supercharged V8s and the 6.3 AMG V8s.

Bro your E55 AMG is modded. Of course you're going to win against a VERY lightly modded M5! Even then, it's a 6-speed M5! 6speed manuals are slower (significantly I might add) than their SMG counterparts. The V10 M5s/M6s are ONLY built/based around the 7-speed SMGs only!

Fine. Fair enough. I guess that's why more people in here in the States prefer a torquey AMG, Jaggy XFR, or Caddy CTS-V since they got more gobs of low end power than a funner to drive higher revving V10 BMW M.

I assume the "only" place and time to race past 140 mph is on an empty highway late at night and on the autobahn.
However, those GTboard videos where they race PAST 140 mph are true and really show how these V10 beasts are geared and powered.

It is as QUICK as a standard 04 and 05 Lamborghini Gallardo for sure! I witnessed it myself in my own M5 a couple of years ago and a stock M6 pulling on the same one...

Nissan GTR on the other hand...where did you get that from? Aside from it's crippling power weak top end but VERY fast strong low end, the Nissan GTR cannot be compared really to the Gallardo! I know somebody who raced with a fully modded bolt on M5 and it was only at around 150 mph when he caught up and passed a stock GTR. That's how fast they are.

The GTR should be faster and quicker at lower speeds than a Gallardo and M5/M6 for sure. No competition there.

Sorry if you can't accept that a stock M5/M6 can be quicker/faster all the way after 140 mph even though they aren't realistic speeds to be racing at here. I mean I like the AMG Supercharged V8s too. I still got one myself. (SL55 AMG) No need to bash repeatedly the M5s and M6s.

Yeah I do buddy. Like I have repeated myself many times before...I still have an 03 SL55 AMG and I HAVE raced each other before with a competent friend switching between my cars. No video so bare with me.

The SL55 AMG is even till up to about 120 mph (my SL is quite fast even for its weight and is an earlier model) with the M5 and then the M5 starts pulling.

The other local smg m5 wont race, so its the best I could do. All my point was that when very similar modded, an e55 will win.

BTW I used to own an e34 m5, so nothing but respect for the bmw dooods

Hahah! So much for calling a "peaceful truce". You seriously think the SL55 is just as quick as a stock M5? My SL has an updated healthy stock intercooler pump.
