Is that "sence" your not making sence or "since". For a guy that paid cash for a 10 E you sure have horrible grammar yourself.

You know how when you get a mole in your yard and there are tunnels everywhere and you think there are a ton, then you catch the rodent and it is just one! That is what is going on here!

It isn't grammar, it is spelling. But you knew that since cash buys smarts.

Amused by the bickering going on in this thread... which is getting a bit off-topic...

For being the grammar police, you didn't pick up on the usage of "your" instead of "you're"...?

But other than that, the "sense" could have been what he meant... maybe he meant "[i] Sense (verb: to perceive (something) by the senses; become aware of.) [that] your (grammar: you're) not making much sense (noun: the meaning or gist of something)."

Anyway, somewhat back on topic... someone we know is in the process of getting a new '11 E-coupe... apparently, the dealership is telling them that the color combo they want is not available with the options they want... but they can get it if they get the E350 AMG coupe! Huh?!?

You should check out his numerous misfires in the 50 Fastest Cars thread where he is calling people out for spelling/grammar all the while butchering it himself.

I was looking hard at buying one at the time( I decide on an S6 with the V10 instead), so I knew pretty much everything about the car.

He had an exhaust, so I asked him which one since it sounded good and I was looking at buying one, but thought they were alittle under powered. He proceeds to tell me it's an "Evolution" model imported straight from Germany that has a tuned RS4 "with headers and everything" and makes 500 to the wheels. First off there are no headers for an S5, as they are impossible to install without dropping the whole front subframe. So I just nod my head and say "is that so? Well I only make 440whp but I would love to give him a run for his money sometime." He laughs and says something to the effect of "what with that old man's Cadillac". We finish pumping about the same time, and as luck would have it pulled out going the same way. I roll up mext to him give him the look and nail it. By the top of 2nd I had at least 3 cars on him. He quickly pulled to the right and got on the highway on ramp I am sure went home to cry.

I wonder how often these idiots actually get somebody to beleive them?
LOL wow.. right in our own city! Too many of them actually here..

This was a funny story. I would have played along with him though. I would have told him if he was that sure his car was that fast. I would have told him to pull out his pink slip and race. Then once you have beat that *** I would have sold his car on ebay.

I was in princeton when I came across this guy with a CLS63, or so I thought it was his, he started talking about it, European delivery and and the options (he said it had carbon ceramic brakes.. I couldn't agree). Then the REAL owner came, got in and drove away. He sorta laughed it off and walked away.

Take him up on the offer and tell him to bring the title to his car. When you beat him then you will have a nice C300 you can sell to grow the mod budget

Thanks. I thought it was pretty funny when I thought of it.

Of course, I'm often a douche myself. (Did I spell that right?).

Last time I encounter one of these, I told him my E55 is special too. It got a twin V4 engine.

This is funny! We got alot of fakers here in South Florida too. There was a used dealer on 441 that had a silver CLS 550 AMG for sale. It had V8Kompressor badges on the side also. It made me laugh. They sold it to some poor kid that didn't know any better ( or maybe he did?). I don't have an AMG, but I would never pose as one.

For the record I have nothing against the OP smoking herb on the job, just thought it was funny how it was overlooked.

There's a guy at work that tells everyone his SLK is an SLK55 AMG...and he says that he debadged it to be "stealth"... Hmm...it also looks like he went to such extremes as to change out the exhaust, remove the AMG fender flares, reduce the diameter of the wheels and change out the brakes.

Yeah right....and when one of my co-workers asked to look at his engine, he "had to leave"...

I don't really care - its not in my personality to call him on it, but c'mon... Nothing wrong with having an SLK280, and just admitting to it.

I was thinking about badging my E63 with the AMG Black Series logo. Then justify it by making wild claims that during the SL65BS world wide release at Laguna Seca the AMG BS engineers re-tuned my car. Then I would refuse to provide proof because the pictures would get them in trouble for doing it.

Naww. Better not. Plus I would not know where to get AMG BS badges.

I was pretty close though. Maybe through radiated energy from the V12....

I love how once a member gets in an argument with another member the first thing they do is start correcting their spelling and grammatical errors. All in all,

Yep, if a discussion/debate ever breaks down to someone pointing out grammatical/spelling errors, that person has lost.
