I'm looking to pick-up a set of Euro63RS's and have Q's about the quality. I was hoping some W211 members with these wheels for some time can comment on the quality over time. Any problems with bends/dings in the lips?
Thanks

I'm Rockin em. I like the wheels. To me, they look baller. Some may enjoy spending $6,000 to $7,000 for a set or wheels but I am a little more, ah thrifty. It's not like those nice forged rims are pothole-proof, the wheel shop I know people at has several sets of bent reputable brand wheels waiting for repair. I myself have the rs63's because I bent one of my chrome stickers and they are $1,100 each for the fronts at the stealer. Wasn't even that big of a pothole and my wheel was all "D"shaped. Don't think that's getting what u paid for. At least my tire didn't pop somehow. So, the wheels are nice in a $2,000 way, maybe not the same way as some of the ones that cost three times as much but hey you get what you get when you get whatever you do get. I think they are cool. Oh and I got 19x8.5 fronts and 20x10 rears. Looks the way I expected it to. AWESOME.

I value my life and other people's lives enough to not ride on cheap Jiangsu, China wheels. I don't care so much about pothole bends at slow speeds, but more about high speed implosions. I'll use TUV approved wheels, thank you. This kind of stuff isn't worth saving a few bucks, imho.

My TUV approved original front AMG wheel sure as heck wasn't as robust as some seem to think. I was surprised. So are there any known instances of my cheap Chinese (awesome looking) wheels "imploding" during "normal" situations? If I knew of any I would have been less impressed by the pricetag. As it stands it seems that there are quite a few elitist wheel snobs who think it's ghetto to not spend under $1,500 per wheel and then put others down who choose to spend their dough on other things. nothing wrong with upper echelon wheels if that's what matters to you. My safety as well as others is not guaranteed by forged wheels, it is by driving safely and appropriately for the present conditions. Seen plenty of "nice" wheels crack and plenty of cheap wheels last a long time. No implosions though luckily.
The wheels look cool, and are pretty good quality.
A friend runs them on his 03 E55. He warped the hubs on a set of Brabus Replicas when he took his car to the track, so that should give you an idea of his driving habits. The Euro63s have survived more than a few days at the track, so that should say something about quality...
Anyways, pictures.

From my perspective theirs nothing wrong with buying Euro 63 RS wheels. No wheel on the market is guaranteed for potholes period. As for the 63s, the only issue tha I can see is a polished lip, over time any polish wheel will get dinged up and scratched. And curb rash can be an issue, as it has a pressed on lip. The choice is yours
Mine have held up for some REAL spirited driving too, 0 complaints here (18 months and counting lol). Been down the road of spending ALOT on a set of rims on more than a few occasions! And have had "issues" with repairs and or replacing of said "hi-end" wheels!
Excellent bang for buck.

I'm living on the edge with my Euro63RS 20's. It's great. Just yesterday, my wheels caused 41 people to die and 33 others were sent to hospital with major injuries.
I'll probably be gone by the time you all read this.

I was strongly considering the Euro's but now I have some reservations:
1. Weight - They are about 30-32lbs a piece.
2. Cast - Are they tilt cast or what is the process?
After my ordeal with cast, and knowing about forged rims I am limiting down what brands I am looking at for a replacement on my CLS.
Check out what happened to my Vossen 083 cast rims last weekend on a pothole, right side both rims are cracked in HALF:

To each his own, if buying $4500 a piece wheels make you happy, then that is all the matters. I personally like to save some of that by buying wheels that aren't so expensive and look nice.

Forged rims are known for holding up better, but they are not bullet proof. Another option I am looking at is going 19's or using a 35/30 series tires setup to give more cushion. Thoughts?
