Pulley for belt tensioner
i want to chance the pulley of the belt tensioner.
Can somebody tell me where i can get the single pulley???
Or must i chance the complete belt tensioner???

Ironic... I am in the same boat. Mine is making a clatter noise after sitting since October. I'm not really interested in going TOO overboard, however I might as well upgrade if I have to replace!

My tensioner pulley makes an terrible sound.
How can i remove it ?

Or maybe i can use this one?!
It's an belt idler pulley of an C280/C36 AMG (94-97) -12 to 034966 -12 to 034966

No you must remove the belt has it creates too much tension on that pulley. The belt only requires a 17mm socket to remove the belt then just remove the bolt for the pulley. All pretty easy.

I got a complete set from James ... not just the tensioner pulley, power steering etc .. Good quality and nice looking components. There is a double pulley that sits lower and to the left of your picture that goes bad too. If you leave that pulley bad for too long, it wobbles enough to destroy the pulley that sits behind it too. I think buying the set from James is cheaper than buying stock parts from Mercedes if I remember right. On the double pulley, the rear one is plastic vs. nice aluminum parts. I would just get them all done .. I am a believer in doing it once and doing it right! Great service from James!

Belt Tensioner Recommendations? (2005 E55)
Can anyone recommend a belt tensioner for a 2005 E55 AMG? My current tensioner has gotten weak and in 1st gear briefly hits that nut causing the chirping sound. I am assuming replacing the tensioner, i.e. new spring, will solve the issue.
