what is a good size rear wheel for a drag radial?

Hey Guys,
I've been trying to find what is a good size rear wheel for mounting a drag radial on.

When I search, I get all new wheels, and larger diameters like 19's & 20's

I’m pretty sure you can fit a 17 inch, but can you run a 16, or even a 15. the more sidewall on the drag radial the better.

So I guess my question I what is the smallest diameter wheel that will fit over the brakes on the W211?

What is the largest width, and correct offset?

Does anybody have a wheel that they have used, and would recomend?
Thanks in advance, Bob

I run an FK Wheels 17 x 10 with 20mm spacers. I have 275/45/17 hoosier on there. I know some guys fit 16"'s but on my setup I have maybe 3mm clearance to the caliper. Partly do to the style wheels I have.

I believe the smallest you can run in the rear is a 16" wheel.. Many have done it and if you search you should find some information..

I ran 16s, no way a 15 will fit.

My 11.7 was in sept in 85 degree weather(heat soaked 110's IAT in the staging lanes) before the 82mm tb, airboxes, with a crappy old tune that didn't have torque limiters removed. Had a huge delay between 2-3 shift. It will be much much faster this spring...
