2006 E55 Wagon (RIP), 2019 E63S Wagon (Sold) 2023 AMG GT634S
This entire deal made no sense - i.e. you simply don't sell something that you haven't paid for yet - and don't disclose - like a house or a car... (especially a completely discretionary purchase like WHEELS!)
Apparently - this practice of paying for wheels with credit, or on time or making payments is rather common these days - you can "rent to own" wheels. I guess I am out of touch.
jrcart - I suspect you are too - you'd never even think to sell something that wasn't 100% yours...... nor would you be still owing someone for a set of wheels.....

So did I. It's like we got good Karma at a bargain and it was not our intention at all. Just helping out a member.

Jackpro1, that is awsome what you did with the money! I feel much better now knowing that. If dirbag Jangy does pay it back, I say we nominate you to handle donating it! You did a great job and I actually feel better now knowing we helped a member out and additional people as well.
And even though 55wagon didn't post any pics right away, he did pm me with a personal thanks back when this was all going down.

This is a great point. 55wagon PMed me as well. JakPro started this for sure. HE IS THE MAN. It was easy to jump on board after that.

He is a tool. No one crucified him. People vouched for him all giving him the benefit of the doubt and rightfully so. He could have easily popped on the forum and said he is struggling or whatever, but would make things right. Instead, he watched the members help out another member and did nothing. Definitely a tool.

OH and for the guys that gave the overage (above the amount we needed to get the wheels out of hock) that wasn't able to go to the wheel guy....my wife and I were able to do this "giving tree" thing that helps out people asking for small gifts while they have a family member going through cancer at our large cancer center up here.
We were able to buy a really nice salon style hair dryer and flat iron for a young girl who asked for a nice one. Also some other kids asked for ITunes cards so we hooked them up with some and even helped a elderly woman who wanted some knitting stuff so she could stay busy next to her husband.
So even though we never heard from Jang and never saw pics of the wheels, we still did some major good guys. Thanks again for the help from all!

Next year we should think of a community charity around Christmas time again. Maybe our new found leader and friendy W211 moderator Sun can take that one up

Wow I am very sorry to hear this. The fact that you look at it like charity or not, does not rectify the actions of Jangy.
It does however show that there are still wonderful members on this forum and in the world, what you guys did was great and really helps to show that judgement of everyones character, should not be based on just a few stray individuals.
It is so difficult to be oneself now days due to the worry of being taken advantage of, that everyone has a front or a gaurd up. I know that to an extent it is neccessary, however I also feel it is sad that we can not freely express ourselves or have that open trust that should be present, because of people like Jangy. But to those of you who helped out, you really deserve a pat on the back and more. You are establishing that hope and trust once again sincerely. Thank You. I truly hope it gets paid back to all of you, ten fold. Only the best for you all.
It's great to look at the glass half full and makes it easier to swallow. Since no one has heard from Jangy (***** or not) is it possible that something bad has happened to this 13,000+ post member.
I am sure if he is the tool you all say, he will probably try to conjure a story to snake his way back in and cover up, but there is the slight possibility that something genuinely bad has happened. I know he checked in last after the whole ordeal. I just like to hope for the best in people I suppose.
I now have to reevaluate my whole basis of trusting to purchase off of a member with a substantial amount of posts.
I hope it all works out and again thanks again to those of you that helped, out of the goodness of your heart.
Cheers!

Not a problem. Like I said, I am glad you got your wheels and I am glad we took a part in charity. I am not glad or suprised that Jangy turned out to be a dirt ball tool that basically steals money from people.

+1 agree, over the years of reading threads when Jangy posted, he always came down hard on cheaters. That is why so many people here are shocked/amazed he did this. Problem is, he is still scratching a broke a$$, so he can't wipe up his own mess. I suspect that he will and soon because he thrives on attention from this board and is craving whatever will be thrown his way.....
