Where do we go after an E55?

That CL65 looks amazing with those red calipers! Don't like the wood grain on the inside though (I have the black ash or whatever it's called in my E55)... But, back on point... I often consider where to go after the E55 as well. I am not a fan of the CTS-V's looks (inside or out), so that isn't an option. For me, the car would have to be a daily driver, so a Lamborghini/Ferrari really isn't an option. Possibly the 4-door Porsche... I finally saw a white one in person (up close) the other day and was more impressed than I thought I would be... Pictures don't do it justice, but definitely isn't for everyone... I was thinking possibly a Bentley Continental SuperSports or a Maserati... I know the SuperSports isn't a 4-door (or even a four-passenger really) though...

Keeping the E55 forever, however:
I fancy the Jeep SRT-8 or V10 Touareg for a different trailer hauler that will be fun around town too.
And sooner down the line a 996TT built for the mile so I can check that 200mph off my bucket list.

Almost bought the Z06 when I bought my 07 Z51 auto..
That car has the heaviest clutch of any car I have ever driven! All I could think is if I got stuck in "stop n go" traffic which I-17 in PHX turns into, I would end up with a skinny right leg and a SUPER BUFF left leg.
I love auto with the option of paddles.

Our Capri Blue 55 is absolutely original as far as the outside appearance (with the exception of a CF rear deck spoiler). So the auto looks rather benign yet beautiful. Having all of the really effective power plant modifications and being substantially lighter than original (the additions of a CF Lithium Ion battery just reduced the weight another 60 lbs) results in a 4 door vehicle of unmatched quality and performance. I feel safe to say these autos will win 99 out of 100 stoplight GP's and I have only been out run on the Autobahn once and that was by a super bike, but not that badly. So, with 35K miles I can see no 4 door replacement for the moment that can approach 200 MPH and I love the look of astonishment on the faces of the victims who care to play from time to time.
I suspect a bi-turbo E class awaits for us in the future, but for now the 55 keeps a big smile on my face.

2004 E55 AMG
This is the direction I'm leaning, but I'm hesitant to get rid of a car(E55) that I can drive all year. However, C6 Z06 + super cheap Craigslist bucket to get me through winter would be just fine. It's not like you can really enjoy the power of the E55 when it's cold and wet, and I'm not the kind of person who really cares about comfort or luxury. The Z06 looks sick, sounds awesome, can go around corners, and with the six speed should be a blast to drive.

But the SL55 buries the Porsche 911 turbo (996) in a straight line on its way to a delimited top speed of just over 200 mph...!

Replacement for my e55? Maybe an AMG 65. Not very keen on the sound at idle but hey, it goes like stink and its got the aggressive persona of the 55. Alternatively, there's always the Brabus EV12...
