Here in VA, it used to be on a dyno at different rpms, with a sniffer in the exhaust. Now its plug into the ECU, sniffer in tail pipe, and gas cap test.

In NC we just do OBII tests.. I used to live in MD and VA so I remember the days of the sniffers in the tail pipe, gas cap, and the dyno...
Here's the thing about the smog tests that I have never understood... They only did the newer cars, not the older ones... It's all the older ones that are the problem!

Sweet!!! is it still every other year in Cal? I had read somewhere that the secondary kitties were for some EU standard.
No smog testing in Indiana. We don't have smog, the wind blows it all to Ohio.

Not even a gas cap test. Tech says that is only for older cars now. The dyno test is not used due to the inability to 'turn off traction control.' Guess the steps for dyno mod is too complicated for some??? Either way, I really did not want to remove mods and install my 2nd cats back on.

I had the near same results. No 2nd cats, bigger injhectors, all the mods....barely registered on the 2 speed sniff test! 600+ hp and fully smog legal...these things are awesome!
