The E63 Conversion is complete! Pics of install inside..
Whew, what a day. Finally, 7 hours later she's all said and done. I got there at about 8 in the morning and started attaching the pieces to the painted bumper. Dealing with a broken bumper clip was just the beginning.
I have parktronic, IF you have parktronic and want to do this, prepare yourselves. Its tough, but possible. Everything is completely different
. From the housings to the positioning etc. Thanks Mercedes.
Anyway. I dremeled the housings completely off and we attached the parktronic sensors with some bumper sealant stuff (which I had to hold in place for 10min ea). What a PITA which took hours to do! Looks perfect.
Big thanks to Apex Auto in Stoughton, MA for all the help and going the extra mile with all the pieces of this install. It was one thing after another.
I have more thorough pics of the install for anyone interested.
Sorry for the iphone quality pics. Will get serious photos done soon.
Here's a pic of me cutting up the parktronic housings:

Beautifulllllllllll! It changes the look of the car completly! I think black grill would look sick with your cars overall them, perhaps some tinted tails as well.
Too bad ya aint close, we could have had a twins photo shoot
lol
Oh those springs behind the headlight washers.. can they be installed from the front, or only from the back? We were trying to get through the install fast, and forgot to put them god damn springs in LOL

Those damn washer caps! They refuse to go in right, had to heat em/cool em back and fourth to get em to work right, theres still a 2mm gap which will get taken care of very soon. Letting it adjust a bit.
You're so lucky you dont have parktronic! What a PITA! I never expected it.

You're telling me bro. I've never seen another white e55/e63 anywhere around here. Nevermind like ours
.

Looking good! Clean job on the parking sensors.
Switching over the parktronic is a pita! I ran into the same problem doing the 2010 SL65 conversion. I was going to do what you did. But, couldn't take a risk in hacking up the new bumper. So, I bought the new sensors and wiring harness and sold the older sensors. Just needed to swap the plug and voila. Factory fresh.
