Maybe theres still is air in my line. before the pump went out, the temp never exceeded 80*C, now with regular driving its always around 100*C..

Been bleeding for 25 mins and fluid is still bubbly!

Lessons learned: leave motor off, use small clear pipe lol, pinch return house...I'll add a pic for any other newbs attempting this like myself lol

Thanks Shardul and Alvin!

Ensure that your IC pump is energized and functioning properly.

What is your line doing to ext reservoir? Or did you mean the coolant res?

Is the pipe(hose) too large? My coolant wouldn't bleed before because the hose was too big in ID and length. So I got a clear one from home depot that just fits INSIDE the bleed nozzle!

If still nothing try squeezing more on the pinch point on the return.

Leave motor off. Run pump. Report back.

Mine bled out fairly quickly. Had to do a run and bleed again though. Checked the coolant reservoir the next day and had to top a bit.

I tried yesterday the clamping method and water came out with pretty decent force. Heck, I could shoot it at the walls of my driveway if I wanted to. Kinda makes me wonder if you guys have pump problems.

I had a previous pump failure, or so I thought. I will hook the old pump up to 12V to see if the fuse/relay/wiring before the pump is shot.

Heres that bleeding pic. Notice the return line also pinched, crucial step that will make the process much faster/easier.

Tony, what size hose is that? and I discovered my old pump IS working, so i looked at all the fuses and found a lbown 15 amp, but temps are still up there after I replaced it.. and is there any way to jump the pump with 12 volts without jacking up the car and removing the skid plate?

Is your pump wired to the accessory for power, 03?

Perhaps you're seeing higher IAT's because the pump isn't kicking on until the ECU sees higher IAT's? Just a guess.

watts sveb20
1/4" (OD) x .170" (ID) x20 ft

Cut it down to the smallest length possible to the res. tank.

Gotta jack the car up unfortunately to get to the pump. I took power directly from the rear battery with a long wire. You can use a 12V DRILL battery as well.
