You leased it twice? Do you mind me asking how much you've paid for the car over the 6yrs? You can tell me to get f ucked if you want.
As far as what to do, do you still want a super sedan in the garage? You've got some nice cars, which is the real daily driver? Is the E55 a garage queen that you just don't use anymore?
If the car still blows your skirt up, keep it and drive the wheels off it. If it seems dull or just too familiar, let it go and move on.

This must be the OG thread...
Like most of our compadres have said...keep it. That is my plan. I won't see anywhere near the money I spent on the mods...plus the pain in the **** it takes to "de-mod" and going through the hassle of haggling with low-ballers alone is a big turn-off.
It's a classic body style and I'd be hard pressed to find another 4 door sedan that puts the smile back on my face after a short burst of the throttle.

+1 with above. This is like the Golden Girls of MBWorld. All we needed was Gid_E_Up and a couple others to chime in.
Gosh that is a hard one Dave, I say keep er but I know what you are thinking $$$ wise.
That CLS63 TT sure is looking purdy ain't it???
Gonna be a really hard choice when the TT E comes out.

BTW, I think that was the first post from Albert in the last three years.

Did you ever figure out how to launch that car? If not, I would say sell that POS! Funny! You're thinking of selling and I'm looking to buy. I've missed my E for a while now. To me its still the best all around car out there. I've owned lots of rides and the 55 is the only car that I've missed. 27k is nothing considering what you get.
Is this a reunion? Lots of old guys popping up in this thread.

No, I never really learned how to launch the damn thing. I stopped trying a couple of years ago. Thank God you can now get cars with 4-wheel drive and launch control.
I took an extended drive with a 2011 E63 last night and while it's a very nice car, it is nowhere as explosive as the E55 nor are the interior materials as nice. I also took it to an empty parking lot to really study it from all angles. The car is very modern looking but I think the W211 is more aesthetically pleasing.
We shall see.

MBUSA now offering a 135K mile CPO option?????
I just saw on an MBUSA commercial that they have an 'optional' 135K mile warranty now.. News to me, I'll have to look into it. Wonder if they upped the years to 10 or more... Btw, on my E55 that I bought new, at around 30K miles and 2.5 years, I traded it in and then bought it back as a CPO car about a month later with a 7 year, 100K mile warranty. Yea, there was a slight cost, but it came back with new tires, etc. May also be an option for you. In Texas, we have the sales tax which I had to pay, but was still a deal for me.
Talk about "sellers remorse"

It's still only 7 years. Max option is now 7/135k.
The added 35k is "psychological." In other words, it's a marketing incentive to move CPO cars off the lots. CPO market is competitive and MBUSA needs to help dealers move lease returns.

Got it.. Thanks. Guess all it would really do is to encourage me to drive the hell out of it everywhere I go versus putting miles on the wife's car. My kid bought a CPU 3301 & she will time out with less than 60K total miles. Sort of a screw job IMO, especially since she prepaid for the service which goes away as well! BMW surely F'ed us on that one.

You are correct Albert and I know that you understand my violent torpedo of truth. You see, defeat is not an option.
I will be in Cleveland at Playhouse Square Center on the 5th and...... yes! I will be...........WINNING!!!
BTW, Thanks guys for all the great advice. At this point I'm leaning towards keeping the car. I've decided that the 2011 E63 is not where I want to go. I do absolutely love the 2012 CLS63 and may go with Jim's pick.
