I did that same part number search after reading a thread about the running changes the MB made to the original H/E pump over the years... The one you show there is, I believe, the most recent version that MB specifies now.
Looks like a good price too. The one thing i haven't found on these forums yet is whether there is any difference in noise level between the CM30 pump vs. Bosch. The Mezierre pump seems to be loud according to quite a few members here.
It would be nice to get an "upgraded" pump without making the car sound like a cement mixer in the process.

tbal,
the flow rate is better on the 010 pump.
pump 0 392 022 003 is what came out of my car. the only difference between the 002 and 003 pump is the connector i believe. the flow rates for both pumps are the same.
the pump Bill mentioned above is the one to get.
dont worry about the noise. there is a rubbber sleeve that goes over the pump when you R/I.

Got the new pump today.
Looks good. Not sure what mods I will have to do to the connector, but that will be easy. Total was 149.38 shipped. Carpartsdiscount.com

So are you saying the 010 pumps out flows the 0 392 022 003 & 002 pumps. Good info to know. Do you have the flow rates difference between the two pumps. Thanks again.

I've spent a little time looking around on the interwebs, but can't find any charts showing pressure vs. flow.
Seems weird, for other pump applications I've always been able to find data sheets or specs from manufacturers and ALWAYS see that graph showing the effect of pressure (restriction) on the flow of the pump.... It would certainly help to very quickly isolate "good" pump solutions versus inadequate ones.

Those charts use different units (hpa vs kpa) which makes it a little tougher to compare.
If I'm reading it right, the "010" pump has substantially better flow at the same pressure. I see what looks like 1000 liters/HR at 450Kpa vs. About 600 liters/HR at 450kpa for the older "020" style pump....
Am I reading that right?
